Just catching up on the motd highlights, Saka completed 4 passes 😂😂

"No matter who support, you've got to feel for Gabriel". Have I fuck, he's a bellend.

Agreed.I saw somewhere a comment about Saka 's workrate in defensive duties and that was noticeable on MOTD highlights. It would have been  far more useful if he had been employed as an attacking right winger.
Only highlights but I get the impression that Rice,a fantastic player in the PL, struggles a bit when confronted by a high quality technical midfield that can beat the press,eg PSG's ,Spain's and ,dare I say it,the Kamara,Tielemans combo.
Gabriel, excellent defender but shoves other at corners and collapses in a heap if touched by a fingernail in his own box.

I still can't believe how woeful Arsenal were. It's one thing to be outplayed and on the backfoot against a much better side that has a blinder, another to look like you're scared to try and attack and play football with your expensively assembled team.

And they have largely played this way all season. I am a complete one eyed villa fan, but I honestly think if we hadn’t lost Kamara we wouldn’t of got thumped at the Emirates and if we hadn’t then lost Tielemans and McGinn on top, we would of pushed them for the league.
The worst of it is from last night they did almost grind PSG down, which would off been a shocker.
Bring it on next season.

I thought they were really good defensively in the first half to be fair.

I'm surprised by how late the Spanish football season finishes. Tonight is the last set of fixtures in La Liga 2, the second tier of Spanish football, and then there is still the play offs for promotion to come, involving four teams, and so five games in total. Some of the players taking part in these games will be in international squads for the World Cup.

Edit: make that six games, not five, as the final is also over two legs as well as the semis, the second leg of the final is not until 20 June.

Yes total Karma with Gabriel.  He was cheating all season and the Gods decided they had had enough!

I can't argue, to be fair. In fact, I wouldn't be against wickering any under-40s. Have you met the under-40s? Dreadful people.

And don't get me started on the over-50s.

Be very careful, youngster.

Auchinleck Talbot win the Scottish Junior Cup with a goal in the 90th minute after trailing for 79 mins. Casual viewers will be confused by people in black and yellow celebrating in the stands. It'll be kicking off in Cumnock tonight.

Most do feel for him.  They feel contempt.  I’m just glad the big oaf missed the decisive penalty.

Amazing CH though.

Fun fact: PSG keeper Matvey Safonov did not make a single save in 120 minutes of action against Arsenal or in the penalty shootout.

I'm quite taken aback by the wave of joy regarding Woolwich losing but then it dawned on me. Joy. Not a word you could associate with them. Dour, bitter, pernicious and desperately negative particularly given the talent in the squad. The only team who celebrate a narrow one nil victory in the league like a cup final. There have been sides like this before but they were generally playing to their strengths because of the lack of money.

Add Piers Morgan into the mix and it all becomes clear.

Oh, and that ridiculous "song".

I still thinks it's a bit OTT to still be celebrating them losing quite so much. But then, I don't even understand the hatred towards Birmingham City, so what do I know?
