Mobile signal at the ground being rubbish, so you need it in the app, then download to wallet. Add to this tickets not appearing until you delete and reinstall the app.

What are people's issue with it? Are your tickets not loading when you do them before the game- as in its not letting you save them to your wallet?

I had downloaded my ticket in the app several days before but at the ground the tickets tab on the app would not open. In addition the add to wallet button had disappeared.
On Monday I deleted the app and when I reinstalled it the wallet button was back and I have placed my Burnley ticket in it but Villa can’t be expecting fans to have to constantly delete/reinstall the app to download tickets.

Never tried to use the app to scan the NFC. I've always just download to wallet as that is what I assumed I was supposed to do, as it tends to be the way for away tickets or gigs and the like.

NFC is when it’s in the wallet,

The app just uses a QR code. So I have to hold the phone the other way round.

I prefer using NFC in the wallet but getting fed up deleting and reinstalling the app before each game to be able to transfer to wallet.

A number of posters have mentioned having to delete and reinstall the app.

I wonder if this is a heavy handed method of clearing the cache.

On my phone which uses Android 13, this is done by:
Settings/Apps/selct the app/Storage and cache/Clear Cache

I have to do this now for a few Streaming Apps which get into problems with Google Home and Chromecast.

I needed to use the QR code on Sunday.  Initially, I was a bit annoyed that I couldn't download the ticket to my Apple wallet, but to be fair the QR code worked seamlessly.

I know people don't like change, but honestly, I'm not sure what all the fuss is about.

My Wife and I received our physical season cards yesterday along with a letter saying that we will not get them next season as they have to be 100% digital tickets as specified by the Premier League

What nonsense.  Do you really believe that?

Clubs are getting a lot greedier and many are reducing concessions, but the two things are entirely unrelated.

Sadly it’s the way of the world. Digital discrimination is a big issue in society in general.

Absolutely

They are getting greedier and even less human by the year.  I have no doubt they’ll have tagged the majority of senior concessions as getting cheaper ticket rates & the matchday spend in shop / concourse as lower also so they’ll continue to close the gap on adult/senior rates and raising the age limit yearly.

Although from what i can see, the prem is not enforcing all tickets be digital and individual clubs can still do certain other formats for accessibility.

Quote
Will I have to use a Digital ticket?
League rules will require clubs to ensure that Season Tickets and all Home and Away Match Tickets by default are made available as digital tickets. Clubs will retain some discretion to make some tickets available in other formats to supporters who have reasonable grounds to request them. This may include supporters who have a disability that makes the purchase or use of digital tickets challenging. Other examples include some group bookings, such as school or Club Community partners.

Clubs will consult with supporters’ representatives to develop suitable policies and exemptions.

So essentially the tame supporters board will have to help the club develep the policies and exemptions.
