I'm really hacked off with the ticket office.
This wednesday my dad went in to have QE to have his 3rd surgery to remove cancer in 18 months and had half his liver removed - I waited until he went in to surgery on wednesday morning before I put our season tickets up for re-sale on Saturday just in case his op got cancelled.
Our seats are on the halfway line, DE Upper, with a view as good as the owners have, so always sell really quickly when we sell them as a pair.
After I put them up for sale, both tickets were giving the "you have requested to re-sell your ticket" sort of thing.
After I put them up for sale, I went into the ticket website (logged out in another browser) to see if they were on sale and how many others were.
Mine was showing for purchase but my dad's wasn't. I think and still think this is some sort of malfunction because he has been approved for a physical card and been sent a print-at-home ticket for tomorrow.
I clearly explained all of the above to the ticket office in an email and X message including a screenshot of my seat up for sale but not the one next to it.
I've had no reply to the email but they did reply in X on Thursday morning to say the tickets had been put up for resale, so I thought everything was OK until I got back from the hospital to see my dad's ticket still wasn't available for purchase.
I re-messaged them yesterday afternoon, directed their attention to the screenshot again and pre-empted any bulls*** response by saying there was no way my dad's seat could have been constantly in someone's basket for over 48 hours.
I got a reply around lunchtime today saying my dad's ticket must be in someone's basket.
I reply again to say that was ridiculous and have heard nothing since.
I've tried ringing approx. 250 times over the last 2 days to try and explain to a human being but they won't even put you in a queue - you are just told they are too busy. I even selected option 1 (membership) out of desperation. the nice guy who answered tried to put me through and failed.
My ticket hasn't sold because single tickets often don't and my dad's ticket hasn't sold because nobody can buy it.
The Club are happy to have 197 draconian rules around season tickets and getting into the ground but don't have the decency to answer the phone. I really feel like they don't give a toss.
