I got one on half way line in Witton Lane - I was surprised how many were available. This will be very handy for where I park. I’ve been very lucky with the way the Waiting List was reconfigured.

Was that Upper or Lower? I am glad you used the right name for the stand as well ;o)

Would you not be better getting one on your own and then relocating next to him once he is allowed to get one? Maybe they'll let you keep your place in the queue if you contact them to explain.

It's a possibility, but we go to pretty much all the games together (our points total is different because he missed an evening KO or two over the season), he's only 10 so can't sit on his own, and I'd have to relocate every game to sit next to him.

Yeah, I reckon if you get offered one and turn it down, that will be it, to the back of the queue you go!

That's the worry!

I've just had an email offering the chance to buy an ST from tomorrow, I was 895 on the new list, so looks like quite a few are on offer

I didn't and I'm 1949, so all things being equal I'll qualify in the next year or two.

Which is frustrating, because my son won't and we want to go together.

I wonder if you did get offered one next season could you turn it down and wait for the North Stand to be finished and keep your place in the list?  If so then with memberships and attendance over the next couple of seasons you might be okay to get two together, as there could be another 2-3k STs released from 2027.

Well yes, we were consecutive numbers on the waiting list before, I applied together deliberately so that we'd get one at the same time.

They've not said how dynamic this list is, and whether it updates match by match, season by season or that's it for a bit. I'll just have to ask the question I suppose, though I'm not sure they'll have an answer.

Choices, choices! Oh and the bun fight when tickets are released will be something else. I wonder how many memberships there now are? For example, if a thousand more people have purchased membership is there a chance I'll get further away from the top rather than closer?

Don't worry Drummond, if all the doom and gloom around the club currently turns into reality, they'll be plenty of season tickets for those that want them next year, we might be relegated to the Conference North but you can sit where you want !!

The doom and gloom is warranted, it's the 10th of July and we've only signed TWO players.

But can either of them play in goal against Newcastle ?

Emery Jr can do that.

I assume the list is reshuffled every season given that there is an ongoing points system.  Now that people know the system all things will not be equal, the list will look very different next season.

On the one hand I should feel a bit lucky that I got boosted up to the top of the list and was able to buy a season ticket this morning...

... on the other hand I feel a bit miffed that the club won't refund the now redundant membership I'd already bought for the new season.

According to the club 20% not renewed. 5000-6000. Will they all go on general sale??

I've nicked some figures from Villa Talk.  Someone has collated what points got to which position on the waiting list.  The examples they had were:

167 - 191
167 - 192
152 - 901
144 - 1,418
142 - 1,606
135 - 2,590
131 - 3,288
119 - 6,759
119 - 6,879
114 - 8,843
111 - 10,288
110 - 11,227
103 - 15,657

As a membership gives you 100 points, people at 15k on the waiting list must have been to less than 3-4 games in the last two years.

I'd say our realistic waiting list is actually about 10k?  Even at that position you're talking about people who have been to a handful of games at most.

When you say according to the Club, was this verbally or online somewhere?

I'd be absolutely shocked if that was true.
