How hard was it last year to get pre season tickets for games in Walsall? Reckon I’ll be able to get 4?

I think you will be able to. If I remember rightly, they tend to release the ground in sections. So if you keep an eye out, you’ll get an opportunity.

Why is it at Bescot ?

Ballymena United didn't want to host it.

Where and when should one look for tickets for the Walsall game (on Jul 16th) ? Me and the bairn will be over and I'd love to surprise her with tickets as she's only ever seen Villa in the US.

Walsall showing sold out.
That is with the proviso that it was an allocation of 4.040 and Bescot holds over 11k so you would think more would become available.

Haven't they given us extra tickets in previous years when the initial allocation has sold out?

Or is it more likely that Villa fans just go in other ends - its not like there is ever any trouble

There's some chat online that we may play Olympique Marseille in a pre-season friendly (at Stade Vélodrome on Aug. 9th)

Aston Villa have added friendlies against French club Olympique de Marseille and Spanish side Villarreal to the pre-season schedule.

Unai Emery’s men will play the Ligue 1 outfit on Saturday, August 9 at Stade Vélodrome (KO 7pm local time) before taking on Villarreal at Estadio de la Cerámica on Sunday, August 10 (KO 9pm local time) to conclude our preparations ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Ticketing information will be released in due course.

Is that 8 pre season games now? Seems higher than everyone else plays, not sure if that's a good thing or not!

We played 7 last year by the looks of it, so not a huge difference either way.
