I appreciate you think people who diosagree with you are "w*****s" but I am allowed to have a different - and perhaps more informed - view than yours!

You're welcome to have whatever opinion you want. It just seems to me to be very clouded by your peculiar hostility towards Onana.

Maybe the world isn't as black and white as your world view? So best to live and let live?

It's a discussion about team selection for a football match, I'm not annexing your village.

“Oooohhh, look at me! I’m going to use the ‘does not equal’ symbol to appear more intelligent than Olneythelonely, whilst saying the exact same thing. Pathetic.”

I literally found out how to do it the other day. Looking forward to more opportunities to use this new found skill tbh.

Used to be != when I was a programmer back in the day.

On Android you just hold down the = sign and you get a choice of =, ≠ or ≡. I can't remember what the last one means.

Me neither.

The triple bar or tribar, ≡, is a symbol with multiple, context-dependent meanings indicating equivalence of two different things. Its main uses are in mathematics and logic. It has the appearance of an equals sign ⟨=⟩ with a third line. Wikipedia.

How does that differ from "is equal to"?

"It goes beyond mere equality by implying a deeper congruence between the two entities."

I don't think my understanding ≡ any greater than before, tbh. ☹️

It's probably the equivalent though.

Oh and I'm impressed that a H&Ver (JCollett) has his own village!

I understand it in logic, but not in computer science or mathematics, unless integer numbers are used as the result of expressions, in which case the remainder or mod comes into effect.

You've opened up a can of worms, tbh.
