Can we swap him for their new centre back?

I'd swap him for van de Ven.

Ok, so Dave will probably correct me....

Out - 7
Buendia, Duran, Philogene, Carlos, Gauci, Nedeljkovic and..... Bailey

In 6
Asensio, Rashford, Malen, Garcia, CB, and .... Felix....

Because 7 would go from Champions League squad, we could add 5. If we bring in 6 one misses out on Champions League which presumably would have to be Garcia.

I've ignored or misunderstood the home grown (club trained) rule which reduces that again?

I believe you can only replace three.

So I'd guess Malen, and two out of Rashford/Asensio/Garcia/new CB.

Our defensive options are going to be paper-thin; and we are basically done if we get a couple of defensive injuries before a CL game.

You can only replace three if you lose four from your original “A” list. It looks like we’ll lose six from our original A list so we’ll be able to add four.

If we remove seven (say, Bailey, hypothetically) we could add five.

🚨🔵 Chelsea set to make decision on loan spot today as João Félix’s future is still open, as of now.

If Chelsea agree deal for João’s loan exit with several clubs keen, Anselmino’s loan move to Olympique Marseille could collapse.

I saw a tweet last night with a screenshot of the rule that said this (the extra players allowed) only applies to clubs who’s league season begins and ends in the same year.

Surely we can’t be still after Felix.

It’ll be an interesting day.

I reckon maybe a centre half to come in and that will be it.

If we get Asensio (apparently he's got shirt number 21 so is already done) and a centre half over the line happy days.

My worry is there is almost zero links to a centre half now.

What happened to the Turkish lad? Was that ever announced? Can't we use him, other clubs are playing 18 years olds at the back in a pinch

We have to get a centre half - have to. We’ve got 1 fit centre half and one of the injured ones best case scenario is back in March. Firstly it’s just not acceptable to voluntarily leave yourself with 3 senior centre halves. But our reserve option of filling the gap with Kamara also significantly weakens our midfield.

Can’t we recall Josh Feeney from Shrewsbury?

I’d take Maguire at this point. I don’t even know if that’s a joke yet. Ask me at 11pm.

There must be a bang average, meat and potatos centre-half available from somewhere. A Colin Calderwood type.
