We recalled Mosquera back from Real Union and he is currently away Columbia U20. I don’t think the intention is to send him back out so he would be an option at CB. Been doing well for club and country by all accounts.

Just trying to make us feel better if we don’t sign a CB today.

Didn't we bring him back as he wasn't getting much time on the pitch in Spain?

Ok, so Dave will probably correct me....

Out - 7
Buendia, Duran, Philogene, Carlos, Gauci, Nedeljkovic and..... Bailey

In 6
Asensio, Rashford, Malen, Garcia, CB, and .... Felix....

Because 7 would go from Champions League squad, we could add 5. If we bring in 6 one misses out on Champions League which presumably would have to be Garcia.

I've ignored or misunderstood the home grown (club trained) rule which reduces that again?

I saw a tweet last night with a screenshot of the rule that said this (the extra players allowed) only applies to clubs who’s league season begins and ends in the same year.

Yup, I think you / they are right.

So we only had 23 in the original A squad, as things stand we've moved on six of those 23 and can only add three more. So a squad of 20, and even if we sign a centre-back we're going to be either a centre-back or a right-back down on our original squad.

That seems...suboptimal.

Can’t we recall Josh Feeney from Shrewsbury?

If we don't get one in surely we do that and play him until Mings is back.

From Percy in today’s DT

“Villa are still in dialogue with Chelsea over a potential deal for Axel Disasi but are understood to be relaxed on defensive additions.

They are happy to wait until the summer if their top targets are not available at this stage.”

Hmmm…

Comments?

He wants to come, they are probably holding out for a better deal, they can see how desperate for a central defender we are no matter what our manager says.

Reckon Mings will be OK for Spurs game which must be a factor.

If that is true, letting Carlos Diego go appears, er, brave.

If so we are not going for panic buys which is something to like.

I'd rather have a panic buy than have Kamara at centre-half again. Having three fewer central defenders than we did on 30th December seems an ideal time to panic, to me.

Sign a centre-half, you twats!

very risky just having Mings playing every game until PAu is up and running .
