Yes, the next few days are going to be interesting, as Unai said after the game last night "anything may happen"

We must know need the cash from any sale to buy players.

Last minute trolley dash with the Duran money and I guess Buendia's wages too. Cash's injury leaves us in no man's land again at right back. Still Carlos to replace at centre back.

Grealish and Luiz are both out of favour with their current clubs - two no brainer signings. Tammy Abraham not having much joy in Milan, might be happier on our bench. RB - Walker-Peters and Lamptey are running down their contracts, think Emery would prefer a stronger defender there.

We have that Garcia chap for RB, assuming he has been bought to be played and not "Ned'd". But no to Grealish, not on the money he is on and his diving against us.

It shouldn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

But the manner of his departure, the fact that he tried to leave at least two times before he eventually did and he general cuntishness whenever we've played them means I hope we go nowhere near him.

Theres no way we are selling duran without a striker lined up. Not a chance in hell

Someone  will be coming in whther its a loan until end of season and we buy someone proper in summer or vice versa

If we sell both this week it’ll send everyone the signal that we’ve given up this season.  It would be a really, really bad look and the next thing will be bids for Rogers, Kamara, Martínez and JJ.

Honestly, what’s the point if we can’t keep one of them?

Grealish is too old for the model we are going down too. Felix fits the profile at 10, and with the Duran money I can see us going after him properly now. Much as I am not convinced he's the answer. Malen will be the Watkins cover till May I would assume.

Might see a bid for the young Turkish lad we've been linked with for ages.

Would we be interested in a cut price deal for David at Lille?

Dream for me from here....

Disasi loan to buy
Luiz buy
Felix because Unai wants him
David - could be a decent price and has good pedigree.

Assuming Duran goes, we'll have lost Carlos, Buendia, Duran and Philogene from our CL squad - though I think Philogene counts as homegrown.

I believe we can make 3 changes to the CL squad, presumably that would have to be Malen, Disasi (or new defender) and a replacement for Duran (Felix?)

Which would mean no place for Garcia.  If Nedeljkovic goes out on loan, we'd therefore have no good right-back alternative to Cash.  Diasi and Konsa *can* play there, but it's far from ideal.

If Ned goes out on loan that would be the 5th person from the CL squad to leave, allowing us to register another incoming. You can get a 5th as well if 7 players leave.

I suspect you might be disappointed - maybe another Duran type signing of a unknown striker but more likely we will go for a 10 to replace Buendia ie Felix and use Rogers / Bailey / Malen as 2nd striker if Ollie goes lame.

Blimey, we really are going for them young.

Perhaps this extra cash might widen the search from Disasi, and we can go out and get a "better" centre half than him.

I wouldn't be against a punt on Felix, loan or cash, depending on the price and his salary, although I'd prefer us to go out and get a top notch right winger, I like the look of Dibling at Soton, but he's probably more of a long term project.

I think if we we sell both (and I said on another page, I cant see it happening), I think we may as well give up full stop.  We're not going to compete at this level.  No way Martinez stays if we have sold those two and the inevitable mid table finish that creates.

It would be the Lerner appointing TSM.  No point pretending were even trying to be at the top table.

I think they knew a move for Duran was likely and they still had Disasi towards the top of the list once Bade had gone all David Dumbsworth.

But agreed, I’d like a solid genuine first team option. Rather than an experiment.

If we do sign anyone else - I would really like it to be someone thats good.  This approach of selling are best players and then buying ones that arent as good hasnt done us any favours.

If we were to sell Duran and buy a prospect from an already relegated team, I’d be hugely deflated.  The only acceptable reason to selling Duran is if we are bringing in a genuinely brilliant player who can play at the same time as our other genuinely great players (so long as they are still at Villa tomorrow).

A player who can play as the main striker but also wide or in the 10 position would be ideal.

Perhaps Morgan has the potential to be that player?
