His name always looks like a misprint.

Wasn't he at Leicester when they won the league?

Nope. He'd be better than not replacing Carlos at all, but it certainly wouldn't be upgrading our defence to where we wanted it to be.

Six month loan and we bring in the next Saliba / Van Dijk in the summer = not ideal, but fine.

Foyth on a four-year deal and our options next season are Konsa / Foyth / Mings / Pau = definitely not fine.

Nope, not sure why I thought that. But agree with the rest of what you say. Seems an odd choice.

He’s been out for a year / season with an injury and only recently come back. That alone should be a red flag along with Mings’ recovery.

We obviously can't spend any money.

We obviously can't spend any money.

We've spent £20m or so on Malen and were happy to spend another £20m on Bade.

Even without the money were prepared to spend on Bade (which obviously hasn't been spent yet) only Man City have spent more than us this window.

Suspect it’s more about availability than money and Foyth is our fall back if we can’t get main targets

Was he definitely injured? I can’t find anything that says he was

That was my thinking too. Maybe I’m being harsh as he was young when he was at Spurs but Foyth didn’t impress me and coming off the back of a long term injury to go from Bade to him seems a stretch, you’d think they’d be other options in between.

Positive.. Emery knows him well.

Negative, injury prone, poor at spurs, mainly a right back lol

He gets linked with us every transfer window, hope it's just football insider stuff tbh.

Yep, given he's someone who Emery has worked with before this feels very much like a fallback option if we can't do better.

We sold Philogene to cover Malen and Carlos will cover a centre back. It's one in an one out and no net spend.

I do feel the monchi and unai - it must be an incredibly difficult job to try and manage all this - we’re clearly hamstrung to such an extent.  The fact we’re having to fuck around so much must be a nightmare.

You just having a nagging feeling that psr is going to be another what if moment in our history

If it weren't for PSR Newcastle would've done another City, who'd be continuing to do City 1.0, and what we were up to would be pretty fuckin' moot.
