Unai wants a right-back and a versatile attacker, but doesn’t know if PSR allows.

I think those are the two key positions for me this window.

Me too. Fingers crossed eh?

Yep.  I have no idea what our financial situation now is though and it's difficult to do deals in January, but we need options in those areas.  Think we can probably get by until the end of he season in other positions.

If we have a chance of CL then i would definitely try get a rb in jan and leave the attacker until summer unless we can get a loan player in

Depends which right-back. If Cash plays the next few games like he's played the last few, I'm not sure what that January upgrade looks like.

Agreed. The problem with Cash isn't his ability, it's the fact that he doesn't ever seem to stay fit for more than half a dozen games in a row.

On the wider right-back question, I think we might get stung by Bigger Teams™ also being in the market for the best right-backs around next summer.

A bit like everyone wanted a striker a couple of summers back, it'll be right-backs and defensive midfielders this summer.

A right back that can also cross a ball would be on my list of requirements.

It is his ability though, in the sense of his consistency (or his rush-of-blood moments) being an issue.

Joao pedro of brighton looks a player

Less than 30m they paid bargain

and would probably cost double that now

Agreed. Brighton have a habit of signing some class players  and selling them for double. Hope soon our scouting team can pick some more up like duran for example

Not sure that’s fair.  We’ve done brilliantly recently.  Most players have seen their values increase and often double.

Well i get your point when you consider wr paid 15m fir luiz, youri on a free, mcginn for 2m. But then you have 30m on carlos with no resale value of that figure same with digne.

I thinkwe have over paid for some players like onana for example but we will only know answer in few years time

The majority of our signings have either increased in value or have done what they were signed for despite having little resale value.

Every club has them. Brighton spent nearly £60m on Jahanbaksh, Izquierdo and Locadia and saw them all leave on free transfers.

Id argue bailey hasnt really delivered apart from one season. Two rubbish ones and one excellent one.

Unais signings have generally been good its most of the rotten signings by gerrard
