He can be a big, big player for us and I do rate him. Unai could make hi very special.
The biggest issue is that he has never been able to manage more than 6 games or so before the next injury.

Only missed 8 games with Everton in the two seasons he was with them it looks like. Already at 36 games missed in the 1.5 seasons with us. Something seriously wrong.

That’s astonishing. I’m so completely fed up with Onana injuries that I haven’t paid attention as to what the injuries are. Is it always a hamstring issue? If it is and it’s the same leg then yes, something is seriously wrong.

Transfermarkt is the source for it. It does suggest hamstring injuries primarily with us. I guess Everton didnt have european football to increase the frequency of games which explain the difference.

Not that it really makes too much of a difference but you are including games missed for Belgium in those figures. I suppose you could replace them with games he was on the bench and didn't appear after coming back from injury.

Obviously he'll break again eight minutes into the Newcastle game, but for the time being the Kamara / McGinn thing now seems a lot less catastrophic with him back quicker than he usually is.

If he can play like that first half against Arsenal we’ve got some hell of a player. He always impresses me, but that game he was just magnificent, until the injury. Not just for us, but his sake, I hope he can remain fit for the rest of the season. Seems such a genuine chap too.

There was a moment heading into injury time where Onana showed just how bloody brilliant he potentially is, stole the ball, controlled and flicked it up past a player and he'd gone from our 18 yard line to the centre circle. The pass then hit that feckin donkeys heel and it all went to pot bur Onana was pure football magic in that moment. Get him playing properly with Bogarde alongside and Youri at 10 we will win more than we lose in the last 16 games.

I may have shouted get out the fucking way you donkey at the TV much to my wifes distaste at that point. Then he lumbered aimlessly back towards the ball at a speed only seen before in over 70s walking football.
