Absolutely magnificent today. All over the place breaking up plays and just dominating what is a very good Newcastle midfield. £50M bargain.

He makes such a difference when he’s fit. We can cope without Kamara, and we can cope without Onana, we just can’t cope without both of them.

He is excellent when he’s like he was today.

We need him to stay fit, he's probably the most important player in the squad now that we've lost Kamara for the rest of the season because with him in we own the middle of the park and everything about how we play works better when teams can't compete in there.

As I keep banging on.
If we can get a consistent 15-20 games out of him, he will massively impact the rest of our season.
Arsenal away and today, he was immense. That’s his level.

When we signed him I said it was to make sure Newcastle never take the piss again, well today underlined that, that was his midfield and everyone else could fuck off.

I was thinking it today - he is a level up from Dougie - he has a high ceiling if he can just stay fit.

That said I would like us to get another midfielder in that is physical and stays fit, even if they are not quite at Kamara or Onana levels.   Maybe Bogarde is that player.
