The inflatable protest the season we got relegated worked - really visual, fun and wouldn't really affect the team on the pitch.

Anti-Heck chanting is the best bet. His appointment and decision-making have accelerated the alienation. He gets paid to be in that role. I think that's the only way to get the message across to NSWE.

It’s posturing at this stage I think calling for a boycott. It’s just inherently unlikely to work for the very reason they feel they can fleece fans so much.

The idea of turning the back to the pitch though, that could have legs, 82mim has been suggested, yet that would be a distraction for the team, as would anything prematch.

I think a direct action of some sort might be reasonable, but how to not adversely impact the team performance. Turning a back at full time feels an odd lack of appreciation of the players.

I woke up feeling sad about just how many have waited so so long and the are priced out of it.

Was trying to work out the Xmas morning analogy, the kid has waited so so long for his presents and can see them but is only allowed to watch others playing with his toys on TV. If he can afford a TV. Or something.

Nothing will happen. The club know that despite all the gnashing of teeth, no Villa fan is going to miss out on seeing Bayern and Juventus at home in the Chmpions League. Bologna might be a different story though

Turning your back whilst in the ground having paid what they want is posturing. As if anyone at the club would care about that.

I don't like the idea of anti-Heck chanting or anything. The moment you make things personal you risk undermining your legitimate points.

If anything is to be done en masse, it needs to focus on the facts and legitimate issues that cannot be argued with.

Of all the four games, Bologna is the one I am most inclined to attend. I've seen us play Bayern and Juventus in the Eurooean Cup before, and was there at VP in 1976, with about 5,000 other Villa fans, when Glasgow Rangers came to visit, so Celtic no thank you.

I reckon there would probably be enough fans in the next tier down who would be quite happy to go and watch Villa vs Celtic / Bologna in the Champions League because they couldn't get a ticket for Villa vs Bayern, and there's the possibility they might not get the chance to watch Villa in the Champions League again anytime soon.

I reckon if they don't all sell out they'll get close enough that they won't regret the choice they made.

Celtic fans i'm told are a different breed to Rangers fans.

Could see Celtic fans picking up the general sale tickets.

Also non-villa fans going to Bayern and Juve games. Good chance these games will sell out regardless

How are they going to buy tickets in the home end without a client ref etc

Also, if they REALLY wanted to go and were happy to spend the money on it then they could probably built up a booking history between now and the end of January pretty easily.

There were reports of Arsenal supporters all over Villa Park and someone even seen a Man City shirt at the opening match so Celtic fans will be everywhere when Villa fail to sell General Admission Plus experiences
