I suppose the cost of the tickets goes towards paying Emi's reported £200k a week wages.

I am still stunned at the cost of the tickets, spoke to my Wife about this last night, decided that I will only attend the Bayern Munich and Juventus games.

That’s where I’m at too, I’ve messaged AVFC support to ask if I can come out of the Champions League cup scheme.

I did exactly the same. They came back and just asked for our Fan ID’s.

I emailed Lee and got a reply within 5 mins yesterday, saying that it would be shared with the senior management team

I was complaint no 599 from yesterday

As someone posted yesterday, Lee is not the person to direct any anger towards, but I would suggest that as many as possible put in complaints to the club regarding this pricing structure, the more that do it, the more chance there is that the club might take notice

After all the seasons (38) of constantly renewing my season ticket - it is a kick in the balls by the club, we have all waited so long to see us have a successful team, that we can all be proud of and get behind, this was the opportunity by the club, to show how much we mean to them, but NO they want to rinse us all.

I was lucky that I have seen and was there to see the team that won the league and the European Cup etc..  but I just feel so let down.

For all those that go to the away games in Europe have a fantastic time, and enjoy every minute as they are so special.

Maybe after 38 seasons this will be my last.

I get to a degree the high charge for say the Bayern and Juve games but not for the other two......why is there no package offer like last year?

I'm sure on the football side Emery would want a full stadium backing the team....unlike the Everton Cup game last season.

As a club we should be going into this historic campaign together, this will only create a divide. Very sad.

Listening to BBC 5 Live driving into the office this morn. The Wake up to Money Journo, Will Bain I think it is, it transpires is a Villa fan. Must be fairly keen as well, he has already got accommodation and travel booked for Leipzig, it seems for the family. But he still managed to get a dig in about the Villa CL ticket prices, and dynamic pricing.

It did strike me as odd that there were no sale dates announced (unless I have missed something?).

Perhaps the club were "putting it out there (see phrases thread elsewhere)" to gauge the reaction and may row back, much the same way the Wolfs did earlier in the summer?

And then claim to listen to the fans. Rather like Oasis have pretended to so with their extra dates just announced.

Villa 'out of touch' over Champions League prices

One of the comments below the article.

"Villa are back in this competition for the first time in 41 years and they decide to celebrate this momentous occasion by robbing their own fans.
Shameful, just shameful."

Season ticket holder since Dr Jo Venglos and my feelings are echoed in your post.
And the club won't give a damn for people like us who've paid for and sat through everything both good and bad.
I feel disconnected now after this.

Aston Villa - putting the AV in avarice. I always thought Villa were a fairly moral club, but this is so out of touch. Villa want the hospitality fan, not the traditional one.

Pulling out of the cup scheme but cherry picking the games you fancy (Bayern / Juve) simply plays into the hands of the greed . Just boycott ALL games

Nobody can be surprised by these prices. We're playing in an elite competition against elite teams for the first time in 40+ years. The club have been highlighting the need to increase revenue to compete & without apology they'll bleed it dry. Have a look at the Corporate prices for these games.

We were run like a corner shop for decades & left miles behind our competitors as a result. That, PSR & the Premier League rules are the real culprit. Of course the club have a choice & they've chosen to fleece us. But from their point of view we either try & compete or we sit back & watch others do it.

I'll reluctantly pay the prices & I'm fortunate to be able to do so. But I feel for those with kids who are excited to see us play in the Champions League but are priced out. It would have killed me to tell my lads when they were young that you can't go.

When has there ever been a successful boycott? Clubs know that the emotive nature of our support will always override this hence they take the piss. The only "boycott" is the one enforced by cost and that day is not far away. But those missing will just be replaced. By how many and how often is the risk the club is taking.

Well i've been in the ground with attendances around 12k (Southampton H) , that was more down to the shocking state of affairs on the pitch . Now it's a shocking state of affairs off the pitch. Just as bad in many ways .

It’s posturing at this stage I think calling for a boycott. It’s just inherently unlikely to work for the very reason they feel they can fleece fans so much.

The idea of turning the back to the pitch though, that could have legs, 82mim has been suggested, yet that would be a distraction for the team, as would anything prematch.

I think a direct action of some sort might be reasonable, but how to not adversely impact the team performance. Turning a back at full time feels an odd lack of appreciation of the players.

I woke up feeling sad about just how many have waited so so long and the are priced out of it.

Was trying to work out the Xmas morning analogy, the kid has waited so so long for his presents and can see them but is only allowed to watch others playing with his toys on TV. If he can afford a TV. Or something.
