Just noticed 6 for Italy, but Roma is not confirmed. Do they lose out because Atalanta  won the Europa? Or do they now go into the qualifying round because of there now being 6?

Think Roma get in if Atalanta finish 5th in Serie A.

Yeah, that's right. It's a strange quirk, if they finish in the top 4 then Roma miss out but if they finish 5th then Roma get in.

I do like the new format of the CL for next season.
Seeing one massive, feck off league table will be brilliant.
You’ll be able to to jump about 20 places in the league with a win 😂

It’s going to be carnage, nerve shredding and fun.

And the best thing is that we are in it !!!!!

And Man United, Chelsea, and Spurs have never been in the Champions League in its current format. The dross.

You’re talking to Villa supporters here - our default mindset is that you’ll be able to fall about 20 places in the league with a defeat!

I like this distinction and look forward to patronising supporters of those clubs over it.

The last day permutations will be something to behold I'm sure. I reckon 15 -19 points will be the cut off for auto qualification and then 10-12 will be the 24th place.

We certainly do not want to be drawn away to Brugge. Imagine the humiliation of taking fewer fans than you know who.
