They could ensure 9th play 24th, 10th play 23rd etc.

But that would then deny UEFA another 3 hour jolly to do the draw.

Also, one downside is you could play a team once in the league stage then soon after twice in the round of 16 qualifier which is not ideal?

Away goals scored ahead of number of wins seems a bit wrong-headed.

After years of suffering them under Gregory, fookin'Eck and O'Neill, I'm so happy Unai doesn't do draws. We're either dynamite or a bit shit and tired. None of this 1-1 middle of the road shite anymore.

I think a problem with this is it prevents UEFA from avoiding potentially troublesome ties eg Serb club vs Kosovan club, Armenians vs Azeris. Maybe not massively likely in Champions League but possible in the other competitions which use the same format from the knock-out stages.

There is a chance of no Scandinavian clubs in the 36.
Bodo, Malmo, Midtjylland are finding it tough going to qualify.

Im particularly peed of about Malmö as that's actually easier to get to than Midtjylland for me.

Although FCM have pulled it back to 1-1 now.

Girona's ground is about 55 miles from my house. However, their stadium is the smallest in the Champions League this season. In the Liga they can have just under 12,000 spectators but CL rules mean this will have to be under 10,000 as they can't use temporary stands.
I would love to see us turn up there but I reckon my chances of getting in would be close to zero.

Not too bothered who we get, but I'd prefer to avoid Lille away if possible.

Hopefully some team that will give us 10,000 away tickets. I don't suppose Wigan or Blackburn have qualified?

Interesting to see Slovan Bratislava have an Adidas kit but are sponsored by Nike.

Bank of England website has that as being worth £16.68 in today's money. Definitely good value!

I'm not sure I like us being lower case. Not a fan of the yellow dot for the "i", either.
