It was clear today the midfield was being overrun, so what was the point in bringing Diaby off and putting Duran on? It needed Tim to at least try to get hold of the ball in midfield.

Torres had his worst game for us today, his passing was atrocious, and he's never been that good at the defensive side, so when he's constantly hitting 30 yard balls straight back to the opposition, he might as well not be playing.

Didnt look match fit to me. As bad as lenglet was i would have gone carlos and lenglet for this one and saved pau for greece

I think the second paragraph there is at least partly answered by the first. As you say, we were totally overran in midfield and Unai needed to react to that. Instead, he punted on more chaos rather than control and, well, that's what we got. Pau's passing was off but he didn't have enough options.

We desperately needs Tielemans back, or we're going to rely on Spurs being even worse than us. Which thankfully so far at least, they are.

Clear I thought the enormous difference Tielemans and/or Kamara makes to our shape, structure, ability to keep the ball when pressed in midfield, all of it.

A real shame after such a herculean effort this season that we're now barely crawling to the finish line.  Losing on Thursday and pretty clear today that's knocked the stuffing out of Emery and the players.  Wouldn't bet on us scoring another point this season

It's not clear, it's one poor performance. Stop being so weak.

It's five in the space of a month.

And even if it were just one game, weakness doesn't come into it. It's like suggesting Seventh Day Adventists keep getting their prediction for the date of armageddon wrong because their followers just don't believe enough. Mental.

Yeah I'm not sure how much I personally believe is going to help us beat Crystal Palace - getting some control in midfield might help that.

Its not 5 performances like that at all. Today was as bad as anything we've seen all season. It doesn't mean it's over. I absolutely loathe us losing and loathe the lower mentality from some too.

I would say it's five performances that, for me, were all candidates for 'worst of the season'. Which is funny, because buried in there was also at least our second best display of the season. Just mad stuff really.

Disappointing but not surprising given the quick turnaround from Thursday. Personally watching Spurs get the runaround yet again I am confident fourth place is more or less in the bag. Onwards and upwards.
