We're possibly waiting until someone comes in.

Aston Villa@AVFCOfficial
Aston Villa can confirm that Cameron Archer has joined Southampton for an undisclosed fee.

There is no buy-back clause and only a ‘small’ sell-on clause in Southampton’s deal to sign Cameron Archer. @AlfieHouseEcho

“He’s part of the squad unless we sell him.”

I don't know why people think that means we're stuck with him, sounds very noncommittal.

I don't mind Diego, he's fine when he has pace alongside him. Not so good alongside Longlegs. If we had to play Haaland again tomorrow, I'd be starting Diego. There's an argument to play him against Antonio, too. Then don't have him anywhere near the team next week against all Arsenal's tricksy little fast players.

To me it sounded like Carlos is the one who wanted the move and we would support it if an appropriate offer came in.

His best game in a Villa shirt was against those very same tricksy little fast players.
