We seem ridiculously active in the market this summer.

I guess Monchi wasn’t brought here for nothing. Certainly had a busy few months it seems.

Emery building his own team innit. He made a start last season, but obviously Champions League changes things massively.

I reckon this is a goer, with the loan for Merino thrown in.

Does Moreno want out, I wonder ? I'd heard he wanted back to Spain, but a loan to Turkey?

If you read my previous post I added that we offered them £18m, Moreno on loan and they weren't interested. Hard cash will do the deal. What I like, if it's true, is we've moved fast on this one, money on the table, player probably back from Euros later this week and Arsenal, ManU, Spurs and a few others left scratching their arse.

For an 18 year old he looks amazing and matches the hype about him.

There's a story from a month ago saying we had an offer rejected for him. I wonder if the Diaby thing has freed up some cash and allowed us to go back in.

We were after him back in January but obviously funds were limited.

They aren't now. We could easily bring in £150m+ and we've spent the equivalent of £140m amortised over 5 years (£28m).

 @FabrizioRomano
"The news about the swap deal between Jacob Ramsey and Giovani Lo Celso is NOT true

Speaking on Playback, he said: “What I can tell is, this story of Tottenham making a bid to Aston Villa for Ramsey, including a player, Gio Lo Celso, and money, is a bid they made, yes.

“But, it was weeks ago, not this week and not even last week. It was weeks ago. Aston Villa immediately said no.

Good news ... it's like a new signing

Moussa Diaby to Al Ittihad, here we go! Deal verbally agreed with Aston Villa for €60m package, add-ons included.

Diaby has agreed on five year deal and now waiting for paperworks to review then sign.

I wish he had wanted to come on this journey with us. But when one door shuts, another door open

PS I would leave the villa for €23m per year for 5 years, tax-free, plus bonuses.
