Maybe the reality is that a player that hasn't looked fully fit for a year looks like he will have ongoing issues and the club wants to cash in before his value depreciates.

It would just seem odd that another club would be prepared to pay top dollar in those circumstances.

We've been monitoring it for year, they'd have a few hours. And it's Spurs.

Putting the nonsense that selling JJ would be to one side for a minute…we’ve just had a player in Zaniolo for a year who whilst having obvious talent was completely unsuited to the physicality and pace of the PL…Lo Celso would get the same review from the Spurs fans

We have to name four homegrown players in our UCL squad. We currently have JJ, Philogene and then a bit of a drop off to KKH etc. Anyone who thinks we're selling JJ in those circumstances isn't paying much attention to reality.

Isn't it more that we have to name 4 IF we name a squad of a certain size? We can just name a slightly smaller squad if we don't have 4. I think.

Max 25 players over 21. Of those, max 17 foreign players, four homegrown in England, four homegrown in our academy. Under 21s separate. This is roughly the state of play at the moment: X linky

And U21 means anyone born after January 1st 2003 but to be eligible for list b you need to have been at the club for at least 2years.

It’s difficult to predict the starting lineup at the moment as we have a number of options in different positions now, with maybe more signings to come

But the quality on the subs bench could well be the strongest we’ve ever had in the history of the club

“Jacob Ramsey is a very important player,” said Emery back in January. “He grew up here in the academy. His progression is clear and getting better. I want to keep him here with us. Teams maybe involved in the possibility to sign him, because he is a potentially big, big player in Aston Villa and England. I want to keep him here 100%."

I read one of the Spurs blogs yesterday and the writer was saying how none of the credible Spurs journalists (the equivalent to John Percy/Jacob Tanswell etc) had said anything and the story was coming from non-credible sources.

I might have said this before but I think a lot of the Ramsey stuff is coming from the previous assumption that we'd be in financial bother and he, being an academy product, and very talented, would be the player we'd try to offload this summer.  Whether there was ever any truth in that, I don't know.

Dougie wanting out solved the financial aspect of it for us, so there is now absolutely zero reason for us to need to sell Ramsey, and unless something has happened behind the scenes, I can't see us wanting to, or him wanting to leave.

Some of the click bait merchants don't seem to want to let the idea go though. I suppose the transfer market has been quiet enough this year, and the Euros/Copa has probably slowed it down a bit too, so some of them are a bit desperate for clicks.

Has been a pretty quiet market so far. Apart from us.

A couple of reports claiming we've put a £25m bid in for Semih Kilicsoy, the young Turkish Messi.

EDIT: Found this interesting..

Aston Villa made another offer for Beşiktaş' Trabzon striker Semih Kılıçsoy. Aston Villa recently made an offer of 18 million euros transfer fee + Alex Moreno + 1 year 'loan' stay in Beşiktaş. However, it was learned that Beşiktaş rejected this offer. Aston Villa's new offer for Semih Kılıçsoy has been announced. Aston Villa made an offer of 30 million Euros for the young star. The decision of the black-white team is still uncertain.
