Calvert-Lewin is really good, but always injured. He'd be playing for a much better team than Everton otherwise. I wouldn't touch him.
He dresses like an absolute cock

He probably gets paid a fortune to model stuff that looks a bit "OTT". I'm sure when he's sat around at home he's probably just in jeans and T-shirt like most people.
As a footballer, 6/10 for me, can lead a line to an extent , is good aerially but he is not a top 6 player so it's a huge no for me . He would suit a Burnley or another aerial assault minded side .

£60m is very different to €60m.

£60m plus add ons would be OK. Euros would be crap.

Saint-Maximin is off on loan from Saudi to Fenerbache. Quite a few of these players are not lasting too long over there are they.

Besides which, I want footballers to live out my fantasies of when I'm rich, buying gaudy tat and wearing the most ludicrous designer clothing available.

Footballers who buy up housing estates like Robbie fucking Fowler can get in the sea, the boring prick.

Everton fans thoughts on the forums are mixed. Some saying never kicked on, didn't want to be here, backwards- sideways passer nothing else, 34yr Gana Gueye is better, headless chicken, less than 5 good games in 2 years...

They're gutted he's gone.

Great we’ve signed the Belgian Mark Kinsella.

Prefer the buy a pub / nightclub / divorce approach of the 70/80's . There was absolutely nothing wrong with this .

I'd imagine playing with crap players in a crap league in front of crap crowds means the money becomes less appealing pretty sharpish for many.

To lose Luiz and Diaby and replace them with Onana and Philogene would be very disappointing, if that's what we end up doing.

Before the rumours of Luiz leaving started, absolutely nobody would be making the case that Onana would be an upgrade. In fact, if anyone brought it up they'd probably be laughed out of town.  Same if it's Barkley as his replacement.

Luiz and Diaby out, for Onana, Philly and Barkley is a big downgrade to the strength of the team/squad. Hopefully Diaby stays, or we have something big up our sleeve.

I know very little of the other new chaps to take them into the equation. Sorry to be a miserable fucker.

And for what it's worth, I like DCL's style which probably makes my opinions null and void.

He's spent the last six months being linked to Arsenal and Bayern for £60-70m, much like Luiz has. So it's not like we're signing Glenn Whelan back.

And I reckon I know one person who would consider it an upgrade - every team Emery has helped put together has been built around massive, no-nonsense brick walls in central midfield.

I'm not a Douglas Luiz revisionist, he was great and it's a shame he's gone. But he's not the sort of player that Emery plays in that position, Onana is.

You have to include Iling Jr and Enzo in there.

give them a chance then , Oh and Luiz spent the last 6 months being pony. After a lovely Emery renaissance prior to being poor .

I did, and I wasn’t, so that was a perceptive start by you. Feel free to laugh though, and we’ll see how that goes. Apparently, the Liverpool Echo’s Everton correspondent thinks we’ve got an £80m player.

If you think Philogene is Diaby’s replacement, you probably don’t take much notice of where they both play. ICYMI, one’s a winger, one’s a support striker (for us anyway). Last season, Diaby was mostly replaced by Tielemans, McGinn. Rogers and Duran. Cast your mind back and concentrate really hard, and you might recall.

I'm sure he'll be a good player for us, brings a different set of skills to the team and I'm pleased we've finally got a big mofo in there, but purely looking at it as one £50m player out and one £50m in, overall I think the starting 11 is weaker.

I get the 'Emery knows best' stuff, but that's a given really.

No, I've decided to completely write them off 🙄

Obviously I can have an opinion on them when I know a bit more about them and have seen them play. We'll have to disagree about Luiz.

They might prove to be class, I just don't know enough about them at the moment to have a clue if they'll improve the 11/squad to mitigate the loss of Luiz and potentially Diaby which it what my post was about. Obviously I hope they're brilliant.

I've also had a quote fail in here as well. Time for bed I think.
