Romain

🚨⚒️ West Ham have already submitted more than one bid for Jhon Durán to Aston Villa.

Understand last proposal currently worth around £35m plus 10% sell-on clause.

Negotiations underway, personal terms already agreed with Durán. 🇨🇴

Looks like we definitely want shot of him

Yeah, take him back, loan him out for a fee covering the first years transfer cost then see where we are at.

SE beat me to it. He's past the stage of constantly being loaned out. It's  probably why he left in the first place.

There's an outside chance that the player, a human being, might not want to be fucked off all over the place in the hope that the club that didn't want him last year might turn a profit in future.
That was my first thought too!

The lad's 22, he needs to be playing regular football at this stage.  Either we take him and put him in the first team, or we call our losses and let him go somewhere they will play him.

I'm about 80% sure he said he wanted to leave last year.

Why would he want to do that when he could just join someone like Everton permanently? He's not ours anymore.

Because of the carrot of doing well and coming back, to somewhere I presume he feels comfortable and CL football? I didn't want him to go in the first place and like to see 'our' kids coming through and playing, even if they take a roundabout route to do it.

i would be amazed if he wanted to come back and if the club wanted him back - we have already signed players who can play on the left side of attack this summer, we don't need to add another to the list.

How's he going to play CL football when you say "on loan to a PL team, from us."

When he left last year it was his decision and Emery wanted him to stay. He respected that Philogene wanted to go somewhere and play every week, which we couldn't offer him.

In interviews he said himself that he had to do what was right for his career.

I don't see that anything has changed. He's gone up a level and is ready to go for the Premier League, but we've gone up a level and now want to be ready for the Champions League.

All the best to him, let him go and play. He's a great success story for our academy as he was in danger of drifting out of football when he was without a club.

He went to a non-club academy which is where we picked him up. So to see him go and make a good career for himself when he could have ended up another rejected kid is brilliant.

Surely worth matching then give him a season with 1st team ans if does well sell him on for a profit in coming seasons?

Thats disappointing as it sounds like we want to bring him back, but he wants to go to Ipswich for the regular football.
