Would much rather have Tammy than Ihenacho as back up for Ollie.

Not sure if a 4th player coming back from an ACL injury is exactly what we need.

There would also be a massive price discrepancy.

We won’t be spending 30m on back up strikers this summer.

I have a really fuzzy memory of this, but wasn't there someone on here who had helped Ihenacho settle in the UK, on the administrative side? I can't quite remember but I'm sure someone said he was a nice chap. To do with visas or something like that?

Would rather have neither.
We are going into 2025 not 2019

I have to say that I agree with this.  We are about to play in the CL.  We need better options up front.

Backup striker isn't the easiest to fill, and our budget isn't the bottomless pit you could hope for. I would like to see Wilson given some minutes next season too, but I fear he's already decided he's off. Iheanacho is fine, I would expect another Duran type signing at some point too.

Baena is the player I have always wanted out of Villareal. They find a way to get him and Guendouzi this summer we are going to be decent going forward, but we still need a right back and a centre half in there.

No brainer - Tammy is much better player overall.

We're going to have a hell of a job on to integrate all these new players ... need them done early.

Depends who they are. Say we sign Guendouzi and Baena, they have both played for Emery before and will settle pretty quickly I reckon. McKennie has had 6 months to know what to expect. Illing Junior won't be a starter straight away. I think we'll be in decent shape.

Well he is, but is he going to be ok being nailed onto to be a back up player? Doubtful.

He's 2 years into a 5 year deal, which runs until 2027.
