It was a crap signing but I don't think Coutinho was that bad!

If he terminates the contract, how does that impact PSR?

The man's got a ponytail

Who Gallagher? Has he? I didn’t know that. Is that a Chelsea thing as I only remember his Alice band while at Palace.

He's guilty as hell, Lynn.

Terrible hair cut. I’d get SJM to snip it off during his initiation evening.

It’ll be a cost (paying off the contract) .

AC Milan are being linked with Cash, not Juve. Matty Cash is clearly a good enough player for a top four squad because we finished fourth. We looked worse when he was played out of position, too.

When he was played out of position, yes. When he didn’t play at all… no.

Doesn't seem particularly fair if it's the player who has decided to unilaterally terminate. It would give us a cause of action, one that I'd actively pursue.

Tactically, it might make sense to incur his loss on the sheet in this period, if we're getting cash for others.

I know there are mixed feelings about the various dealings we seem to have done, but I am going to give maximum credit to the club for actually doing business so early and with so little fuss. Very professional.

What’s all this talk about Dan Burn, have we been linked with him?

I imagine both wanted to terminate his contract. Most likely we've paid him a lump sum that's a percentage of the wages we'd have paid him over the next 2 years. We save money on a player we don't want and not many others can afford that would actually want him, he can go back to Brazil to play on a lower wage that's topped up by the Gerrard project.

Gallagher is CL level, IMO. Chelsea were one of the best teams in the country last few months, he's only 24 and going to get better.

How can he be CL level if they only finished 6th?

By this logic Chambers and Olsen are Champions League level.

People weren't really expecting we'd get a transfer fee for Coutinho, were they?  No other club would touch his wage demands when we thought he could still offer something. Now, clubs will probably offer him 20% of what we were paying him. Purslow and Gerrard's crowning moment at the end of season dinner. Gimme strength.
