If McKinnie is coming in as part of the Doug xtransfer then I don't think there's really much need for Gallagher, I'd have them as pretty similar players.

Except that one is good enough and one isn't. Fairly major difference.

I'm not debating any of that, it's just that there are squad size limits and if we want to bring in Gallagher then we need a spot for him and, if this goes ahead, McKinnie has just taken it.

Gallagher/McKennie would be to compete with SJM or to on ocassion add even more physical presence. I think its either rather than both too.

I see Gallagher as being a first team player, McKennie as cover. We need cover assuming Luiz and potentially Dendoncker go.

Come Friday all this transfer talk will die down as the journalists will have something else to fill their column spaces with.. Once the euros finish though expect it to go through the roof.

Gallagher will go to Spurs I'd have thought. Seems his most likely destination.

Can see him at West Ham. Finally getting a deluxe version of Jimmy Bullard.

It's quite a big rivalry.  Not as much as Spurs/Arsenal, but I think it would be a difficult move for any player to in that direction between those two.  I'm trying to think of ANY players who've gone from Chelsea to Spurs in recent memory, which given their respective budgets shouldn't be that rare - I can't think of one?

Going back a bit, Gus Poyet?

Based on reports flying about, we’re offloading Luiz to Juventus, Cash to Milan and Duran to Chelsea. It’s as if we’ve just been relegated instead of having qualified for the Champions League.

Our signings will come, and of those players only Doug is really good enough for a top 4 side.

Bit of patience is needed I think. Its only June.

I suppose we have to trust them (Monchi / SUE and Damian) to know what they are doing

We all suspected that Luis would be sold, Duran cannot be trusted and Cash needed to be upgraded - we cannot now be upset if all that happens.

I am more concerned about what comes in rather than what goes out.

This isn’t a criticism of the club. It’s necessary to abide by the rules, that’s what makes it feel so counterintuitive
