Luiz to arsenal is old as mould. Arteta must have a massive blind spot if he thinks another midfielder will get them over the line next season. They've got Odegard, Rice and Partey which are as good a trio as any. It's obvious to everyone else they need an out and out goal scorer to be the final piece in the jigsaw.

They're looking to sell Partey to help finance the Dougie move if you believe the rumours.

Partey was the week link and definitely upgradeable.

Wasn't there some kind of allegations about Partey?

Partey was their DM that allowed Odegaard and Rice to push forward. They need someone who can play that role when Jorginho is rotated or not available. Douglas Luiz in the holding role, in place of Partey, doesn't make any sense.

Let's hope not. Not our problem.

I reckon we'll sell one high value player to create PSR room, and to be honest, it's probably going to be Dougie.

If we were offered 90-100m, I'd be tempted to take it. I'd rather not have to, mind.

I’d be gutted to see Doug go, as I’ve made pretty clear, but he’s likely to be the one to attract the most money.

Dougie has been enjoying himself on the beach playing football with his good lady.

I’ve said before, but he’s close to the last player I’d consider selling

Walking yellow card, if Arsenal offered >80m I’d back Monchi and Emery to invest it in 2-3 players. I was devastated when we sold Platt, but Big Ron did well with the money.

Better Luiz than Watkins, Martinez, or Ramsey.

He’s a good player but we need to strengthen in 2-3 other positions and have Tielemans already to replace him.

Just be clear Tielemans is a good player, and offers plenty, but he isn’t as effective as Doug at his best. We may have to lose Doug to try and strengthen more widely, but he’d be a massive loss.

I don't think its any coincidence that Doug's form for the first half of the season directly coincided with our dominant stretch. Be careful what you wish for. Tielemans is hardly cover for Doug. He had 10 goals and 10 assists this year, with a tough 2 months covering for Kamara's injury.

Fabrizio has spoken and says Emery is pushing for the Barkley move to happen.

Indeed I do think some are forgetting how bloody brilliant he was in the first half of the season (and the latter half of last season).

I disagree about Tielemans. I think he's also got a cooler head than Doug.
