If enzo goes i think the squad depth improvement is a myth. I thought both would be kept here to give us more options but doesnt appear to bw the case

Buendia has had  half a pre season and has had virtually any minutes so far so they dont think he is ready yet. So whats it going to be like for mings and kamara? I doubt eithee will kick a ball for us by November or maybe even December

I think once injuries kick in i think its going to be the same as last year but without as much quality as we havent replaced diaby and i dont think luiz has been replaced either. Hopefully that changes in next few days

If this was the case then I’d agree.
I don’t think we can expect to see Kamara for another few months and then he’s got to get match fit. Mings probably the same and Buendia for me is an extra body but not a starter.
When Kamara comes back I think Onana will step further forward but that’s some time away.
I trust Emery entirely but he can only work with what he’s got so hopefully something will happen over the next few days.

Yes, it looked like we'd added quite a few bodies, but then if Iling-Jr, Dobbin and Barrenechea are all sent on loan, then the business isn't quite as impressive.

As it stands, Onana is the only first choice new player, with Maatsen potentially being first choice in due course, but Barkley and everybody else just being there to fill the squad. Which was necessary of course, but hasn't actually improved the first XI.

£35m for Lutsharel Geetruida apparently. According to Graeme Bailey anyway. Medical Wednesday.

yep, which is why it's not reliable and in here until someone of greater repute starts to report on it.

Aston Villa have reached an agreement to sign Yeimar Mosquera from Orsomarso SC, subject to international clearance. 19-year-defender is awaiting paperwork and is expected to join Real Union on loan this season. Story

The Colombia youth international is expected to be sent out on loan to Real Union, the Spanish third tier side part of Villa owners V Sports' multi-club model in which Unai Emery has a controlling stake, once he has received his Visa.

Mosquera is regarded as one for the future, having had relatively little first-team experience at Orsomarso or at previous club and first division Colombian side, Deportivo Pereira, where he played in their under-20s.

He joined second-division Orsomarso in January and made 20 appearances last season, scoring twice.

If we have the money for a big name signing with big wages and someone who would set the tills ringing and get people talking
Just bring Jack back, he was world class when he was last here and some of his shine has faded but Unai can buff him up again I’m sure

it’s a day for reunions and burying hatchets

£35m for the Dutch lad sounds steep. Isn't he just one step above Luke Young? A good player for the utility room when we need someone to cook in the kitchen.

Grealish, Morgan and JJ behind Ollie would be a bit a sexy.

And, apparently, in the final year of his contract. We won't be paying that: Feyennord will either wise up or lose a sale.
