I don't want to be relying on an eighteen year old and I don't like playing Konsa at right back. Torres and Carlos are both much better with his pace alongside them in the middle. If Cash goes we need to sign two right backs, IMO, even if one is just on loan until Nedeljkovic is ready.

Agree.  I would only really want to see Konsa at RB in emergencies, so think it is a priority we get in at least one new signing in that position.  Someone on here suggested making a new signing, keeping Cash as back up for next season and sending Nedeljkovic on loan in England for a season, with a view to him replacing Cash next summer.

Finances might dictate that we will have to sell Cash this summer if a decent offer comes in though.

It's funny that for all the dislike of Konsa playing right back it's probably what got him in the England squad for the Euros.

With Mings back it'll look much better.

Douglas Luiz did start for the Brazzes last night, picked before other outstanding players they have. He did good they say. Wouldnt like him to leave even we have/get good options central mid next season. I dont belive he will leave but what do I know.

They were winning 2-1, took him off after Mexico's goal.

Finished 3-2 Brazil, with both teams scoring in injury time.

Yes, it led to his excellent performances against Doku and Vinny Jnr.

I find the dislike of him at right-back very strange, a dislike clearly rubbished by statistical evidence.

It isn't that I dislike Konsa at right back per se, I dislike our central defence without him.

Odd how Diego Carlos was excellent at home to Man City and the 2 Arsenal games and then shit the rest of the time.

We look more vulnerable with him out of the middle, but that is the fault/responsibility of Carlos/Longlegs and Torres.  Mings back, cures that little issue, as others have said.   Konsa was fine as a right back.

I mostly agree but Konsa does sometimes have a habit of getting too narrow and leaving space for teams to get crosses in from that side, which is perfectly natural given he's a centre back who covers there every now and then rather than it being a position he's spent years learning.

I love how he can fit in pretty much anywhere. He's a brilliant player and that versatility will get him in, but probably won't have him as a first choice as a result.

A 3 of Konsa, Mings and Torres would be brilliant. Pace, aerial prowess, recovery, passing ability and great organisation.

Something wrong at RB for us IMO. For at least the last two years I have been most at ease when Ashley Young or Konsa have played there none of them natural RB.
