He's too intelligent/dumb to be hooked on coke.

Chelsea will find a way to pay it.  Man City too if they decide they want him.  PSR doesn't apply to them.

115 charges does apply to one of them. Will they ever announce the verdict? It's a joke!

Why would he in particular have developed an off-field issue?

Complete collapse of form, speculating obviously

My guess is that the news will be released the day England go out of the WC.

Palmer obviously has one off field issue - the inability to find a hairdresser who doesn’t have Parkinson’s.

80m for rogers is laughable.  If we are going to sell ut makes sense to wait after WC as his value goes up massively  if he has a good WC

Article on Rogers going in The Athletic;

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7204692/2026/06/03/morgan-rogers-aston-villa-future-transfers/?source=emp_shared_article&unlocked_article_code=1.nVA.PyOW.FB0h-wLp2_fZ

I think this may be the key point in all this;

"Rogers is not agitating for a move, although there is a feeling from several sources familiar with the situation that this summer is the right time for him to depart Villa and, most keenly, the premium time to extract maximum value."

So, I think it's definitely down to the offer. If someone Rogers likes comes in with a hefty enough offer, the deal will be done.

Honestly, I'm really content with our position here and any of the outcomes on the table will work for us.

If he stays - brilliant. Title challenge next year.

If he goes - with five years on his deal and the bidding war that may emerge, he's currently at his highest possible value and we'll bank upwards of 100m. This will fund the regeneration of the team from a position of strength, and it's what all good sides do. Liverpool with Coutinho springs to mind. Thank you for your service Morgan, played every minute and delivered us a trophy, never pushed for a move, good luck to you.

With CL football confirmed, we are not under financial pressure to sell, and there are other options on the table we can shift if we need to bring the wage bill down.

This is about as strong a selling position as you could be in.

I wouldn't imagine it would be until after the WC. And hopefully if he has a good one that'll add 10m to the asking price.
