Chelsea will find a way to pay it.  Man City too if they decide they want him.  PSR doesn't apply to them.

I wonder when the media will start upsetting other teams players in favour of us?

It’s about time our indirect owners (Comcast) started getting involved in editorial matters at their company (Sky).

PSR doesn't apply to anybody anymore.

"Morgan Rogers is believed to have turned down a move to Arsenal saying he wants to win more European trophies."

The idea that he might go to Chelsea is kind of sickening.

Apart from the money and living in London, I honestly can’t see why he would now of all times. They’ve just finished 10th. But maybe the money and London pad sways all.

Maybe Chelsea could fund the move by selling lots of players abroad. Say to Strasbourg.

I'm sure Arsenal would be happy to oblige. There really is no excuse for signing for Chelsea.

I do wonder if the 80m figure quoted in places was the price we had set in previous windows? I seem to recall an article that said we let players know the price we'd be willing to sell at. I imagine the asking price has increased signficiantly.

I'm not sure even Chelsea are bonkers enough to spend a load on Rogers when they already have Palmer.

I wouldn't even give them that much credit. t's just a made up low ball number. If we sell Rogers for 80m I give the admins/mods permission to change my username to IMAFUCKINGIDIOT. It ain't happening.

..and Arsenal have Eze..? Which hasn't gone as well as hoped?
Utd have CL money and Liverpool have a new manager with new ideas and I'd be more concerned about them atm.

Or as another theory, that was the balancing-the-books-because-we-shat-the-CL-qualification-bed figure and we would have needed to take a hit to get cash in quickly.

And the last three weeks mean that while we don't need to do that anymore, there is still a figure that makes it worth our while to sell. Which is a lot more than £80m.

Palmer has been linked with a return to Manchester for some time. I'd say he's moving, wouldn't be surprised if he had developed an off field issue in recent months and needs to move.

Why would he in particular have developed an off-field issue?
