I didn’t see the game last night but I’m very pleased for him even if the Wales team have one and half eyes on their next match more important game.

As per usual, let’s hope he brings that form back to our next game.

I see Touchel is trying to create a team rather than accommodating the stars (Bellingham). This is a good thing in general but Rogers ahead of Bellingham? That’s crazy. Touchel is canny and I think it’s exactly what Bellingham needs to be mindful of to get his arse into gear.

I'd sell for £100m because I trust Emery to just find someone else.

I don't, our purchases record is whack under the current regime.

Give him a chance he’s been here a month and is yet to sign a player.

Is it that crazy? They are more or less part of the same cohort, but have developed at different paces.

What’s mad is that it’s a Stourbridge-Halesowen shake-down.

Which should also make us mad, as Villans, given our geographic pre-eminence

He’s worth more than Wirtz

Can’t do any Wirtz.

I’ll always be puzzled when some people jump to actively wanting to sell our most talented/best players. I understand we’ll sell eventually, but actively suggesting we’d be wise to sell almost as if the player is going to get found out is odd.

It's a coping strategy I think, but yes.

Yeah, it's more realism than wanting it to happen. After Lee, Luke, Jack and JJ, I don't care who leaves anymore.

He's going to be sold, so I don't know why we wouldn't want to sell him at his peak value. We should've sold Watkins and Bailey two years ago for the same reason.

Firstly, if you keep selling players at their peak, you probably won't achieve much. We would most likely have never played in the Champions League if we had sold Watkins and Bailey two years ago.

Secondly, you can't really tell for certain when players have reached peak value. Admittedly, it's a bit easier when they are in their thirties but not so much for someone like Rogers. We could easily sell him for sixty million and then see him being valued at twice that in a couple of seasons.

Personally, I'd rather we just sold players that I don't want for several hundred million pounds and buy really brilliant players for a pittance. Not sure why we don't try this.

I don't think we'll sell him for less than £100m. If he's worth more than that in the future, fair play to him, but I doubt it.

Yeah I could live with £100 million but don't see it unless he rediscovers his form pretty quickly. Hopefully he does. Or hopefully would-be suitors only watch England games.
