It seemed to be well hit and dipping, so why were Sky et al blaming it as a keeper error?

Because of where it ended up in the net, completely ignoring the fact that the keeper was 2-3 yards off his line and it dipped pretty dramatically as it went over him. Feck all the keeper could do and his positioning wasn't even particularly suspect, just a really good strike that made the ball wobble in the air.

This is true, although I do think he's a shit keeper.

Because it is obvious to anyone in the greedy 6 obsessed media than a Villa player scoring against Spurs could never be the result of quality Villa play but must be the result of an error by a Spurs superstar.

Exactly what i thought.

You can see from all the angles here that the ball peaks almost a foot over the bar and then drops.

He is. Still chuckle with his watching the ball settle in the corner and then suddenly noticing Rogers and trying to make out the reason he couldn't save it was because Rogers was interfering so it should be disallowed.

I didn't think the keeper really had a chance, but mainly because he is so small. On the other hand, I don't think that shot was getting past, say, Donnarumma – but then, had Donnarumma been in goal, maybe Morgan would have hit it better...

I mean, I'm sure Vicario is a good shop stopper and a great dressing room presence, but I do find it strange that Spudz have invested so much in a keeper who for unalterable reasons of his physical attributes, will never be top notch, in my opinion.
