I'm going to be in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. I just looked to see how long it would take to get to Razgrad, where Ludogorets play, on public transport. 15 hours! Quicker to go to Istanbul.
I’ve spent some time in Plovdiv, although not recently. I like it a lot, and was thinking of making a trip this year. ‘The city of the seven hills’. It’s a decent drive from there to Razgrad, through the Stara Planina mountains. I’ve done a few road trips through the mountains between places like Plovdiv and Veliko Tarnovo.

I travelled around Bulgaria 25 years ago and Veliko Tărnovo was my favourite place in the country.

Pretentious? Moi?

Indeed, most regular folk would have gone for Catalunya.

Catthorpe Interchange

Take me to Tinsley Viaduct. I think the future's been deep-fried in Kelvin.

I seem to remember that Tsvet, formerly of this parish, was our resident Tarnovo correspondent. I think he stopped posting when he had kids, or his local team Etar got promoted to the top division, or something?

I met Tsvet once, before an away game at Everton. He had the most enormous pair of diamond earrings in.

He was on here a couple of weeks ago, but hasn't posted since June 2018.

There are a couple of Villa supporters who live there.

I had to work there quite a while back and saw the most amazing light show.

Just had an email from Eufa; forgot I was on their mailing list.

They have opened the competition up to win tickets, for the conference final in Athens.

The entry question is a bit easy ;D ;D ;D

I entered the Champions League final competition, when Manchester Utd played Barcelona at Wembley.
Had a lovely day at Wembley; thanks to Eufa.

Just thought I would mention it, in case anyone fancies trying their luck ???

It was a little difficult.

Just in case people  don’t know; there was a clip of him scoring it
lol

They never make it hard.

When I won UEFA had 20000 tickets at Wembley; apparently 200000 people  entered.

Got lucky, that year 😁😁

Good luck👍👍

We've submitted our squad for this.

Rogers, Gauci and Tim are all added, but Calum Chambers & KKH have been left out. It seems a bit strange leaving Cambers out.  Also, no Buendia or Mings, so obviously no much hope of an early return for these two.

(I've copied this from the B'ham Mail)

Goalkeepers: Emiliano Martinez, Joe Gauci, Robin Olsen, Filip Marschall (B), James Wright (B)

Defenders: Matty Cash, Diego Carlos, Ezri Konsa, Lucas Digne, Pau Torres, Alex Moreno, Clement Lenglet, Ben Chrisene (B), Sil Swinkels (B), Jayden Barber (B), Josh Feeney (B), Aaron O’Reilly (B), Frankie Ealing (B), Finley Munroe (B)

Midfielders: Douglas Luiz, John McGinn, Youri Tielemans, Jacob Ramsey, Tim Iroegbunam, Boubacar Kamara, Edward Rowe (B), Taylor-Jay Hart (B), Ajani Burchall (B), Tommi O’Reilly (B), Travis Patterson (B), Kyrie Pierre (B), Kadan Young (B)

Forwards: Ollie Watkins, Moussa Diaby, Nicolo Zaniolo, Jhon Duran, Morgan Rogers, Leon Bailey

How is Kadan Young getting on this season? I remember there being a lot of noise around him a while ago.

Recalled and now who knows. As he is an academy player and now available for us for the next 6 months, for him not to be in the B team seems short sighted unless he is now too old for that.

Weird that Marschall, Feeney, Chrisene and O'Reilly are included given they're out on loan.

I guess in an emergency they can be recalled, but we'd have to have a horrific number of injuries for them to be relevant.

IIRC you only get to make a certain number of ins and outs to the squad at this stage (either 3 or 5) so that might explain it.
