So Bournemouth got another impressive result today, but we beat them 3-0.
Newcastle were on a run of 5 wins in a row but we beat them 3-0.
I see a lot of comments saying how our opposition were poor in these games, but I don't know, maybe we just made them look bad? Because, well, we're good?

Nah we're just lucky.

They was one point in the game when Newcastle had a corner, normally everyone is in the penalty area defending, but this one time he stuck two Villa players on the halfway line, causing Newcastle to do the same I thought I like this Emery bloke

V Forest last week we did it every time 10 in box.. Really annoyed me
Clearly Emery knows whe  to do it and when not to.

Fucking hell. That was simply astonishing. We are not used to this, but that was control personified. A brilliant team performance and in Ollie we have one of th emost in form forwards in Europe. Outstanding every single on of them.

Great day all round, Villa hammered the Jaudis and Monty saw one of the best games of his life at Villa Park. More importantly, TV smashed through the 50k post barrier becoming only the 7th Villa poster to do that in the Premier League era.

That was the best atmosphere I've been there for since the 5-1 all those years ago.  My youngest sons first game too - he must think it's like that all the time.

The best performance for a ver very long time (for me better than the 7-2 because of the complete dominance and control).

Emery is building something extremely special here and I can't wait to see it.

Quite the baptism…good parenting ⚽️👊🦁

Haha bloody hell hadn’t even noticed. Fuck me that’s one way of evaluating the immense waste in one’s life. Hopefully the next 50k we will all be celebrating much better times as fans of Aston Villa.

Just watched it on MOTD, it was nearly as exciting seeing it 2nd time round, it's been a long time, since I could say.

I’ve balanced it out now given the vitriol I had towards Lego head. But no doubt, the mere mention of Emery gives me a spontaneous chubby in my trousers more often than not.

Dougie was superb today. The way he held the ball until he could dink it to Moreno or find him with the cutting pass behind their fullback was top notch stuff.

Yeah got the feeling that being up against two of his compatriots in midfield really spurred him on.  Got the better of the pair of them and had a very good game.

Dougie was awesome. He was like "you can kick me as much as you want, I'll keep on going".

Burn should have been booked and off the persistent fouling was ridiculous.

They are a niggly bunch and there were lots of fouls spread amongst them, which seems to be happening to us a lot. That suggests to me that teams are really struggling to work us out and are having to resort to foul play. The worry is that someone will get a nasty injury as a result.

Spot on, Drummond.

I thought Newcastle played very much how Bournemouth used to play. Niggly, dirty. Not good to watch at all. The ref should have booked more of theirs than he did, and put an end to their behaviour much earlier.
