That's the point...

And how will we find out if he is ready?

We now have gaping holes in the squad due to this unbelievable run of serious injuries.
There’s no way anyone could’ve foreseen this and I think Emery will divert his attention to a centre half and a right back. If we have the money a right winger would be nice but a forward? I can’t see us spending north of £70m on one now.

What would the so called top clubs do if faced with losing two very important players for the season, they would not be bothered by paying over the top to preserve their position.

And maybe we will.

Indeed. And also it’s probably pretty exceptional to lose two key men within 3 days. I think we, and any club, need a few days just to assess the right way to deal with it.

I think he’ll be fine, and in a weird way this now presents him with an opportunity that might not have come. Hopefully he can get a run of games and show us what he showed at Sevilla.

The Conference league might perversely help us get our team sorted this season. Carlos will almost certainly play, so will get back up to match fitness. Others can show on a competitive stage what they can do and push for places in the league. I can't belive Monchi isn't working on a right and potentially left back option.

Holding midfield worries me too. Brighton reportedly in for Adams from Leeds after Chelsea have pulled out, natural leader and much better player than given credit for.

Definitely need to buy more players.
There is still time.

The only positive is the time left in the window. Time for monchi to earn his salary.

He's just signed for Everton though?
