Emery on the transfer market: “We are doing everything, with deep analysis, speaking with Monchi, Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens, to try and improve, always.”

“There are enough tools to try to build a beautiful project. There’s a good base of last year, of the time when Emery arrived. We must take advantage of that base & that confidence of the coaching staff to shore up the project & continue to grow”

Looks like the Don's already in action to bring in cover for Emi.

a 6'3" number 10 that gets his name on the scoresheet wouldn't be the worst thing.. here's to hoping we can get a favorable deal and he wants to come. Had a fantastic season last year, for someone who's done their ACL twice. I love the urgency out of the club.

At last we have a Sporting Director who seems to have every position and scenario covered.

With a database of players who we either want to bring in because we're improving the squad or we can sign if we suffer a catastrophic injury to a first team player, or we get a mad offer for one of the squad that we really can't refuse.

No more being caught with our pants down.

And with regard to Emi's injury, it begs the question - has Unai run shapes/formations/tactics to take account of xy or z being injured/suspended?

Of course he fucking has - he's Unai - what else do you expect?

#ssn shortly for an exclusive interview with #avfc transfer guru Monchi, who tells me in his first English interview he is working on more new signings this window, and he has been impressed by the ambition of the club he has joined.

Has this aired yet?

Probably a better quality one somewhere

Cheers our kid.

He reminds me of Dwight McNeil with a shot on him.

Youtube i know but he looks quick, strong, skillful, aware and he can finish well from close range and hit 'em hard and accurate from distance. Looks very good.

No more being caught with our pants down, having to make panic buys that turn out to be duffers.

This injury to Emi makes me wonder if Unaia has run shapes/formations/tactics to take account of x, y or z being injured/suspended?

IF (more likely when) we bring in an Emi replacement before the window closes, it will only reinforce my belief that our club is FINALLY being run and managed properly.

Fuck me. Dwight McNeil? He can stay in Turkey if that’s what he is.

before his knee problems he was regarded as the next big thing in Italian football, at his best he has everything to be a world class 10, the gamble is how close he can get to his best after missing a lot of football and having the worry of another major injury in the back of his mind.

Gnonto off to Everton.

Which seems about the right level for him. Good prospect but nowhere near ready for a side in the top half to be able to offer him regular games.

Gnonto off to Everton.

I saw him play last weekend and he was a few levels above. I think he'll be wasted a Everton.

Regular minutes rather than games. I'd have him easily ahead of Bailey, Traoré and Philogene.
