Gnonto off to Everton.

Which seems about the right level for him. Good prospect but nowhere near ready for a side in the top half to be able to offer him regular games.
He's a full international with Italy. He's not the finished article but he's a bit better than you give him credit for.

Regular minutes rather than games. I'd have him easily ahead of Bailey, Traoré and Philogene.

It really depends on the price, £25-30m (which I suspect is about what he'll go for) and that'd be a bit much for a player who be getting a few minutes here and there and I'm not sure he'd offer much more than that for us.

The price I've read is £15m which is a steal. Problem is Everton want to buy, Leeds want to loan and the player wants to leave. We're also in the mix according to reports in Italy. Imagine being an opposition defender and you've been given the run around by Diaby all game, you see his number come up for a substitution. That delight would soon turn to WTF when you see Wifried Gnonto coming on to replace him.

Really? He can't do any worse than that waste of money they lumped on a Liverpool young lad last time they got promoted.

There aren't many Italians who have flourished in the Premier League. Zola and Di Matteo spring to mind, I guess Jorginho did ok at Chelsea, but lots which didn't work out, even internationals.
Ravanelli did OK in a Middlesbrough side with a good attack but poor defence.

That would mean a buy back in 12 months as I'm sure Cam doesn't fancy another season in the Championship.

Arguably the same situation with Ramsey to Burnely. They're more likely to stay up, but still a big possibility they go straight back down.

Vialli did alright too.

We better be bringing in 2-3 more if we're shipping out Archer and A. Ramsey, Moreno and J. Ramsey will have a delayed start, and Buendia is out for the year.

It won't be cheap to replace those positions if we are to improve on last year's finish in the table.

But this was 25 years ago back when Italian football was the highest standard in the world where the majority of the elite played. As well as your Vialli’s, Zola’s, Ravanelli’s, bit part players like Carbone, Di Canio, etc, could come over and be excellent players here because they were dropping a level. Since then, the standard in Seria A has dropped a lot and the majority of players (not just Italian) from Seria A who have arrived in England for big money have not really delivered. Stars in Seria A like Gaston Ramierez, Dani Osvaldo, the two Italians who joined West Ham recently, Pogba, Juan Cuadrado, Moise Keane, Morata, Aquillani, the list goes on, all failed to produce. So it is a relevant point.

Zaniola is well regarded but has had a bad injury and is currently plying his trade in Turkey. It would be a big gamble.
