Get money back on Coutinho would be more than happy…if they could take Traore for what we paid too would be great

Has anybody seen Traore by the way?

Philogene to Liverpool according to the Liverpool Echo.  Weird one.

Typical of the media.

A player will have a blinder next week on the opening day and be linked with Liverpool the next day.

Then nothing.

The Echo aren't claiming it, they're just reporting a "could" have met with his agent based on a Twitter Account called Anfield watch. It's all shite.

That's how lazy journalism has got, getting stories off random accounts on Twitter.

You know it's lazy journalism when they refer to him as Jaden Philogene instead of working Bidace into the headline.

Nah, keep Phil and get Bert out the door. If some mugs want to pay 5 or 10m for him, even better.

Quite. People are quite blasé about Coutinho. But he is still massively talented. The question is whether he can stay fit - if he can he’s a huge asset.

Agree Paul, but we do have a lot of good options in the positions he plays and I presume getting his wages off the books would give us some extra wriggle room financially.

I'd be a bit disappointed to see him go at this point, as I'd feel that we never really saw the best of him.  There is the question of course though whether we ever will and we might be better taking an offer if it's there.

Ah yes!  It's still a weird rumour to make up (which its probably is).

Possibly agent led, to get him a better contract at Villa.

I'm sure we seen a few 'McGinn to Man United' pieces before he penned a new deal.

Not really.

Whenever a Villa player shows some form & potential, the media are tripping over their own dick with their attempts to whore them out to any club that might make a few Villa fans sweat.

Its like clockwork. Sun rises. Ben Mee being a ******. Etc, etc...

I'm guessing it's because they've sold 2 midfielders to Saudi very recently. The "logic" of these things seems to be Player A looks good, who might need a midfielder..... Philogene to Liverpool!

It's an agent trying to get him improved contract terms at Villa now he's around the first team my theory.
