I wonder when clubs lock their warchest? Like, is it just before the transfer window slams shut, or just after? Cos I'd think slamming the window shut might cause a draught which would blow the contents of their war chest all over the office, and Linda from accounts would then need to spend the whole of the next morning picking it all up and putting it back in.
