I think we have to get used to seeing it as a 16 man game. If we sign Adams, just as an example, he might not be starting that many games but it could mean Kamara getting a rest after 65 minutes. Then when it comes to a European game when, again for example, we have a good lead from the first leg he’d be more likely to start.

Or coming off the subs bench late in a game to close it out...

I agree with the idea, but I'm not sure he's the right person for that job.

When we talk about the likes of Archer or Tim being used instead of signings, we tend to forget, they have never done it in the top flight. Especiallly for Iroegbunam it would be a massive jump

I am OK with them being in the squad as options and being given the chance at some point to show they can play at that level, but I would really, really worry us relying on them doing it.

Agree with this.

Just imagine if we were to be in the same situation as Arsenal right now, losing Jesus? (yes, they have Balogun and Nketiah who are both further ahead than Archer and Duran at this level).

I don't think we can rely on a couple of untried kids at this level. We definitely need back up, if not better than Watkins.

What a fantastic article.  Thanks for posting.  Just a normal human being.  Same problems as the rest of us.  Really enjoyed that and respect him for being so open and honest.

Lest we forget, Tim started a Premier League game and did not look out of place - albeit against soon-to-be-relegated Burnley.

I agree Mister E.  He has height and physicality, which we need.  I'd like to keep him this season, let him watch Kamara and Luiz a lot and sneak the odd game in the cups and off league game when we are winning. Ideally, I'd like us to sign Kessie from barcelona but probably not going to happen.  Whatever, tim should stay with us this season.

Seems to be the next one off to Saudi Arabia.

That’s wonderful eamonn, thank you for sharing. What a great bloke he is and the message at the end is so important, not just in football but for everything and everywhere.

Is he?  Shame, would be great for us.

That really is a lovely, open piece of personal writing.

He mentions perspective and yet he knows he is guaranteed to get the morons piling-in about some of the personal stuff that he has been brave enough to share. You certainly need a very thick skin to be anywhere in the public eye these days.
