Maybe one for Other Football thread, but it might get more eyes here. Pretty great article by Aaron Ramsdale:

That really is a lovely, open piece of personal writing.

He mentions perspective and yet he knows he is guaranteed to get the morons piling-in about some of the personal stuff that he has been brave enough to share. You certainly need a very thick skin to be anywhere in the public eye these days.

An excellent article with some very important messages. He comes across as a really top bloke. Fair play to you Aaron.

Be interesting to hear his views if Arsenal replace him with Raya.

I’d reckon after his back catalogue of lows, he’ll just come back stronger, but after a period of being really pissed off and absolutely gutted!

Article linking us to striker Marcos Leonardo. It goes on to say Roma are in pole position to sign him, but we've been monitoring him. Unlikely there's anything in it, but interesting to see us being linked to strikers more recently.

"#SerieA #Calciomercato | @OfficialASRoma, today is the decisive day for #MarcosLeonardo : the @SantosFC has to say whether or not he accepts the Giallorossi's offer. On the attacker there are also @AVFCOfficial and @NFFC, but the player has given priority to #Roma @SkySport.”

Newcastle agree deal for Livramento. £35m feels a bit steep but i'd have liked us to have been in for him
Now it's quoted as £40m, which certainly seems crazy, but we know Newcastle have a crazy amount at their disposal.

Southampton paid £5m for him in 2021 and his value has somehow gone up 8 fold after one season, followed by a season out with a really bad injury.

A lot right in all that. Think the price is also high because of Chelsea’s high sell on. Southampton are only getting half of the value so £17-£20m, which feels like a much closer valuation given he has a bad injury last year

I remember when he was doing well for Southampton and wondering if KKH would be our own version of a young flying right-back in a year or so.  He seems to have disappeared for now?

Hasn't he gone to Plymouth on loan?

Yes. Still hopeful for him after his performance v Man City that time.

I thought there was a chance he'd be the best of the lot from that age group.  His development has been disappointing, but I've still got my fingers crossed for him.

He's only 20, mind.

And let's not forget, The Blessed Cameron had an awful spell at Solihull Moors.

He was unlucky with two really shit loans last year, Huddersfield were a car crash with useless Managers and I get the impression we pulled him out as it was shite. Unsure what happened at Franchise FC but weren’t they absolute cack last season.

With Tielemans probably valued at £30m+ we've signed the equivalent of £90-£100m worth of players this summer and it looks like we've done some good business.  I'm a bit sceptical about Torres defensively, but we'll see.

But I'm still nervous about right back and centre forward.  I saw estimates of us being able to spend £100-£150m.  Are we happy or would you be disappointed if we don't get any more in?
