Adams has got a bit more ability on the ball then he's given credit for. Even playing in a shit side like Leeds, his number of "key passes" according to Whoscored is pretty impressive. He's technically a lot better than Marv.

He's also a lot faster and more mobile. I'd rather Unai saved the money and worked on Tim. I think he has more potential and can already do the job (other than play at right back) that Adams would do.

I think Iroegbunam probably needs another year on loan, somewhere half decent this time where we can see if he can be that sort of player.

He is considerably better than Nakamba on multiple fronts.

When we talk about the likes of Archer or Tim being used instead of signings, we tend to forget, they have never done it in the top flight. Especiallly for Iroegbunam it would be a massive jump

I am OK with them being in the squad as options and being given the chance at some point to show they can play at that level, but I would really, really worry us relying on them doing it.

Exactly. Which is why I'd like to see one more versatile forward player, who could play with, or deputise for Watkins depending on the situation. That should still give Archer opportunities in the first team as a sub etc.

I agree

We might play 60 games this season. The contrast between that and what we are used to would be immense.

We should be giving them chances when we want to, not because we have no other choice

Sure but if we were to sign Adams he'd be sitting on our bench as he's no where close to the quality of midfielders we currently have. His only advantage over Tim is experience, something he could gain here. I'm not against him going out on loan again, last season he was unlucky that QPR lost Beale and the wheels came off as he was pulling up trees before. Maybe Unai is looking for a quick fix and doesn't see or doesn't have the time to be developing our young talent.

As Risso said, it would be important if he does go out on loan we find him the right club, he'd walk into Adams' place at Leeds which wouldn't be a bad thing. He's still young but I feel his talent is way beyond his years and just needs an opportunity to prove it. Being injured pre-season has obviously done him no favours.

With the options we have I don't think we'd be relying on tim, just leaving a path. Up front is different and another option would be very useful.

Newcastle agree deal for Livramento. £35m feels a bit steep but i'd have liked us to have been in for him

But we're not really relying on them, we have Kamara, then Doug, then Donk to play the No6 role before we need to start worrying about putting to much pressure on Tim

Chelsea getting 50% of that fee, apparently.

I think we have to get used to seeing it as a 16 man game. If we sign Adams, just as an example, he might not be starting that many games but it could mean Kamara getting a rest after 65 minutes. Then when it comes to a European game when, again for example, we have a good lead from the first leg he’d be more likely to start.

Keeping it in the PIF family.
