Traore is a circus act.
I can’t believe for one second that he is the type that Unai would want, free or not.
maybe a circus act , but with the right circus trainer ?

He doesn't have a Football brain. It's too late to teach him that, regardless who the teacher is.

Traore is shite, we did well to get rid of him & get £7m. Nobody having seen him attempt to play football, would think there's any chance Emery would consider him.

Next we'll be saying we should bring Guilbert back as cover for Cash.

Fred Again?

Was wondering why I haven't heard about him as a footballer since he left us. Turns out he's a superstar DJ now.

Well sounds like Meunier got injured in a friendly for Dortmund, so we definitely won't be bringing him in.

Can’t see there being any substance in the Adama rumours, more likely we sign the Spanish player with the unfortunate name to compete with Cash.

Slightly disturbed at the prospect of Olsen staying on, wrong type of no.2. Suspect Emery is a better judge than me though, must be fine in training or Martinez has superhuman fitness levels.

Yeah, there has been further speculation about that RB hasn't there?

Not so far as I know, but was so random I reckon there was something in it.

Iheanacho from Leicester to give us a bit of experienced backup for Ollie. No problem with Archer getting game time this year but feel its a position where we are short on quality cover. Joao Felix would be great but hes more of a number 10 as I understand it.

Same with rightback and goalie.

I thought that. If we can't get a top striker in then I wouldn't be against getting him in as back up.

I'd like to see us gor for Balogun at Arsenal though. Seems he's on his way out if they get a suitable offer.

Yeah, there has been further speculation about that RB hasn't there?

I saw something yesterday that quoted Fabrizio Romano as saying we were looking at several players in Spain and he seemed to think we were looking at full back options, I think. I'll see if I can find it again.

Edit -

"Reviewing Villa’s transfer window, Romano told GIVEMESPORT: “I think they will move on other targets, for example, full-backs. I will keep an eye there for Aston Villa because they're exploring some possibilities in Spain."

I like Balogun and I'm surprised they're willing to let him go and keep Nketiah. I think he'd be a great signing and has the advantage that he's comfortable right across the front so could also cover Diaby meaning we'd could consider letting Bailey go (and apparently there's interest in him).

Iheanacho I'm less sure of, he just doesn't do enough for me, 1 good game here and there tends to hide the fact that he's pretty lazy when things aren't going his way. In all honestly I think the same is true of a lot of the attacking players from Leicester last season, which is a big part of why they struggled, a shit defence/keeper (lets be fair their first choice was far worse than Olsen) and no one working for the team at the other end is a bad combination.

That suitable offer appears to be in the region of £50m though.

I reckon if you stuck Archer at a mid-table Ligue 1 team he'd probably pop 15-20 in.

So, no thanks.

I'll be glad when JJ is fit plus Moreno. Those two add a lot of power to the attack. Moreno is so good with those bursts down the left.

Yeah that's a concern in the first few weeks. Those two destroyed Newcastle in April (I doubt outside of Man. City that Trippier had a harder game defending all season) but neither around for first game so our left side feels a bit unpredictable in final third whereas you'd think Cash and Diaby on the right side has potential to really cause someone like Dan Burn all sorts of issues.

Was about to post something similar. They appear to want a huge transfer fee on the back of one, admittedly good, season in the French top division. For me he’d need to show that he could do it for a few seasons at least and I’d still have my doubts!
Saying that, and to completely contradict myself, Man U have spent more than that on someone who has a similar record so….

The flip side is if he does do it for several seasons he'll be out of our reach. He might be anyway as it looks like he might be off to Inter.

If we can't move Chambers on it would appear that Emery is happy with the idea of a mobile back line with a CB playing one of the full back roles and stepping in and out of 3 CBs.  I still think that there are too many players required for us to achieve a full squad build in just one window.  Archer and Philogene looked good enough so far to be used in a squad, and unless Bailey, Dndnckr and Chambers leave we are probably quite close to the limit in terms of fees and wages.  Anybody else we go for, imo, will either be a RB as back up for Cash or a top of the line player that fits a very specific role.  I think we've had a very good window alrady and anything else will be all icing and cherries.
