Diaby playing in the 10 role again. Rumours of Bailey going to Saudi.

With his fondness for oil, surely Traore would be better suited to a Saudi move.

Looking at what Emery's done, I'm sure we would be in for a much better player than Traore. Actually, watching the game I'm thinking if we added Brennan Johnson into what's already there, some sides would be getting ripped to shreds.

Not advocating for him, but I wonder if Traore could be a wing back versus traditional winger.

Not for me, wing back has to work hard up and back, not something Bertrand has ever done.  Bailey could maybe

Think we're talking about Adama Traore.

That might make sense.

In what way? a bloke who has shown zero defensive ability whatsoever.

Every time I saw Traore play for Wolves, he seemed to be standing around doing absolutely nothing. I'm not sure what an Emery player is, but I'd say he's about as far away from one as it's possible to get.

Traore isn't even a footballer, he's an athlete.

It’s up there with bringing Benteke back, it’s a long summer.

There has definitely been talk of him doing it in the past. Not saying I’m particularly onboard with it, but it’s not entirely out of the question based on what Emery does with his fullbacks.

I couldn't imagine Traore playing right back. It's an interesting idea but no, I can't see it.

I don't think Traore is especially good as a winger though, which surely has to be the starting point Paul? On the rare occasion he does something, it's usually just knock it past a player and then use his speed to try to get away. For any half decent defender it's too easy to defend against.

Traore only ever looked good before Raul Jimenez had his bad head injury. I’m not downplaying Watkins ability at all but think Traore would have a better chance of doing well with a striker like Toney or Mitrovic.

Yeah like I say I’m not really advocating for it - more saying that it has been mentioned as something in the past. Probably wouldn’t work, and I’d rather get someone who already can play fullback/wingback.
