Got to admit there is some really clever people on here,a lot clever then me, edited just in case I get pulled up for bad spelling

You need to add a space after the comma.

A full stop wouldn’t do any harm either. Missing a “more” too.
thank you for the correction

This must be the first time in living memory on here that we think we’re okay in the midfield department

It’s a nice feeling

John Percy
"Cooper’s transfer business for the new season will also depend on players leaving the club to bring down numbers.

The future of Johnson, the Wales international, is still up in the air and he is likely to be sold if a club pays over £40 million. Brentford have already had a £30 milllion proposal turned down and remain interested, while Aston Villa and Tottenham are admirers.

Forest are determined to avoid breaching Financial Fair Play regulations and Johnson’s sale would unquestionably help. It would be unpopular with fans yet the stark reality is that clubs of Forest’s size, who lack the commercial revenue of the ‘big six’, have to operate in this way"

I can see Villa being the most obvious attraction for him.
£40m should be good enough then.

That last part does sound la bit like Percy preparing the fans for his departure.

Forest lowered their asking price from £50 million to £40 million then

Matt Kendrick is the best of the bunch

Ex Heroes & Villains writer.

But none of them are in the same class as Peter Morris, Woodhall or the two blokes off The Villa Podcast.
What about Dan Bardell?

Bardell’s my favourite, just seems such a nice bloke. Kendrick is good too. The two Irish blokes Neil and Paddy are a great laugh as well.

Wait til you hear the two Irish guys Conor and Liam.

If Forest have major FFP challenges, then the chance to see a home-produced player for 40 or 50m, no matter how much they'd rather keep him, is going to be almost impossible for them not to do.

I rate Johnson and in today's market of crazy prices, £40 mil is probably the going rate. With the purchase of Diaby though, I'm not sure we would be in for him as don't they play similar roles?

Didn't Vinnie say that we were after both, and it wasn't one or the other?

May or may not be right, but thinking aloud.

Perhaps and I suppose we don't know how the players are going to be utilised. If we were after him, it probably means a faster exit for some on the periphery.

I think he said Diaby & Johnson.

The media were claiming Diabi & Doku...

Johnson is a striker first and foremost, who can also play wide if needed.  I think he would be a good fit at this point, but it's a lot of money for someone who is going to start off as second choice.
