You've got to laugh as well at Man Utd seemingly using their Guardian lap dog Jamie Jackson to announce the price they would like for their overpaid, unwanted players.

I'm sure you would like £50m for Maguire and £40m for McTominay, good luck with that chaps.

I dont think either are bad players but their pricing is ridiculous

I think McTominay is a bit underrated to be honest, but don't see who he'd get into our midfield over. As an £18m utility player perhaps, sure, bring him in. Above that, no thanks.

He'd no doubt work very well alongside McGinn, based on their level of national team rapport. But I agree, who would he actually displace to get into our midfield? It's looking very strong already.

He'd be a solid player to bring on in the 70th minute in Europeans games to close them out.

Yes, they've a few players who would do a job at the right price, but that's generally at least half of what they're asking.

When you then add on the fact their players are all overpaid in relation to what they'd earn elsewhere, it's even less appealing.

I hope they stick to their guns and continue paying ridiculous sums to players they don't want anymore on some vague hope they'll get a fee back

I know you can practically see Old Trafford from media city but the BBC are not much better. They posted a whole article on a Danish striker the other day, on the basis that Man United may or may not sign him.

It's been reported that Nico González will not be included in the Barca squad this season. We've been recently linked with him so it will be interesting to see if we try and do a deal.

UPDATE: He's signing for Porto.

Just as I thought.

There were links with midfielder from Barcelona González but appears he's going to Porto

Did you think that, or did you just regurgitate the work of somebody else as it was widely reported on the date you posted?
Researched the facts and conceived my own thoughts upon  coming to the conclusion and González move is just as I thought as it suits Porto and their type of signing

Ah okay. Then and I commend you on being able to read the thoughts of others, coming to the same conclusion they did, post it on this forum and then a few days later post again for the purpose of ego inflation.

I think he is exactly the sort of crud Everton have traditionally hoovered up from Man United et al for far too much money.

You need to add a space after the comma.

A full stop wouldn’t do any harm either. Missing a “more” too.

Unless we sell Donk, I think we're pretty much Ok for cnetre midfield. I can't see us going for McTominay. I'd imagine for £40m, Emery would have other targets in mind.

Yeah, don't think we will see another central midfielder coming in either unless someone leaves.

Normally just beating Sunderland to his signature.
