Think I'd be happy with Cammy as our backup striker, but realise I'm probably in the minority

I think most would be fine with him as back up if you could guarantee Watkins was 100% fit for every match. I think it's the idea that we could very suddenly find ourselves in a position where he's our main striker that bothers people.

Olsen must want first team football as a Swedish international irrespective of his attributes he can be happy as back up

Wherever it is the have my sympathies.

How bad are Swedish keepers that he is still their number one

He doesn't have much competition, truth be told, but he also tends to do well for the national team. He was man of the match in our latest debacle against Austria. Not the first time either.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/jun/28/robin-olsen-from-roma-reject-to-swedens-giant-at-euro-2020
"It was deserved. He was outstanding, especially against Spain in the opener with Sweden under pressure for almost all of the match. The saves to keep out headers from Dani Olmo and Gerard Moreno stood out but he exuded calm throughout.

The Spanish press said it was a “monstrous” performance and his teammates queued up to praise him. “He was absolutely incredible,” said Alexander Isak, and Victor Lindelöf added: “He was fantastic, he saved us. I am going to give him a big hug and say thank you.”"

https://www.reuters.com/sports/soccer/baumgartner-strikes-late-austria-beat-sweden-2-0-2023-06-20/
"With the visitors offering little in attack in the first half, Austria poured forward and forced goalkeeper Robin Olsen to pull off a string of brilliant saves that somehow kept the Swedes level at the break."

Looks like he's covering us for The Athletic rather than Southampton.

Guessing he isn’t expected to use his feet for anything other than getting the ball forward Scott?  I have never had an issue with his shot stopping ability, it’s with the ball at his feet that he is sooo bad.

No. Nor are our other players sadly. If that.

About the RB signing situation - i think it's probably a tricky one as from the start Emery has said he's not signing players unless they improve the squad. Despite some limitations Cash has been really good in patches and there was talk not long ago of big clubs looking at him.
So we're not going to sign cover, and it's a specialist position and I guess I'm thinking that there's a chance we won't find that player in this window necessarily.

Wouldn't be surprised if we saw another attacker in next
Probably spot on abut RB. Emery probl see potential in Cash and hopefully Emery can get him sorted as a RB. Have doubt myself and afraid it will cost us not bringing in an able alternative. Chambers will be back up RB and he can be up to it  defensively as a RB IMO - I trust him more as a defending RB than Cash.

Hopefully that's a good thing.  Sounds like he's very popular with Southampton fans.  Maybe we can hope for a bit more tactical acumen and analysis rather than just puff pieces.

Like him already, a world class and extremely good-looking first name and an article biased in favour of us. Fine start.

I’m talking of the people making the content, not the punters.

I still don’t like it.

The content as in providing the platform or setting the odds? Punters do the latter on exchanges.

Making the content - should have specified, I am talking about the 'math' profile on games, ie slots, rather than sports betting.

Interesting regarding Konsa, I said towards the end of last season you know he's playing well when he's getting in front of attackers and getting fouled, he does it better than anyone, and that's the first time I've seen the stats to back it up.
