A Saudi club has signed Mahrez for £30m. Is it the same one that was bidding for Diaby?

No, Mahrez to Al Ahli and Diaby was Al Nassr.. both owned by the PIF.

Of course, if we'd just signed some players in January...

Was anyone else at the last away game at theirs where they showed some drama film about their bee mascot getting a wife?

Not as bad as Villa holding an on pitch marriage ceremony for Bella and Hercules.

The most cringeworthy half time I’ve seen…and I’m including the day we nearly killed Santa

In fairness, Santa nearly killed himself.

When we next sign someone I really hope the announcement is this good...

 :-X

I love this, its made me laugh out loud

They've done a few, their Shrek themed one last season was even better. I posted it on here at the time.

7.5 million views for Burnley announcing a player who I've never heard of, isn't bad going.

Aston Villa: Jeremy Doku bid rejected

https://www.footballfancast.com/aston-villa-premier-league-jeremy-doku-transfer-news-rumours-updates/

Aston Villa's opening bid of around €25m (£22m) for Rennes winger Jeremy Doku has been rejected, with the French club seeking a fee in the region of €40m (£35m), according to a recent report.

Would not want to pay more than £30m for someone who is a bit of a sick note.

If both of the recent articles are correct about Diaby for €60m & still trying to get Doku, does that mean that we want both?

Be great if true...

I think we want 2 wide forwards for sure. It's our weakest area, although I think Ramsey is probably our most effective forward player every time he plays out wide.

Ramsey was getting better near the end of the season too.

Could he not play him in between players like Diaby & Doku?

---------------- Striker ------------------

Left winger - J. Ramsey - Right Winger

-------- Kamara - Douglas Luiz --------

Something like that?

Its not like Buendia is offering us much in that central role...

Romano still claiming that Diaby has said yes to us but the Saudi club are clearly just lobbing money at him to “convince” him to go there. In the end it might just be too much for us, or simply not a good business decision to overpay. He’s a brilliant player but we still need to make good financial decisions. Hopefully at his age he puts career over cash but depending on how much he could opt for the money even if he doesn’t actually want to.

The Saudi Club - Al Nassr - owned by the PIF (same owner as Newcastle), either they are sabotaging us , or we are double bluffing them . Either way this Saudi involvement is hideous , its driving ridiculous inflation into the game
