Until BV accept a bid it's all just speculation anyway. The only reputable source involved is Romano so far and he's saying that Diaby is keen on us, so until anyone meets the valuation we won't know. I'm actually pretty hopeful. If were bidding against a CL team then I'd be more worried

I've given it the green light, it's up to the player now.

🚨✅ After reaching an agreement with #AlNassr - as revealed yesterday - now Moussa #Diaby pushes for the move.

‼️ The 🇫🇷 player told #BayerLeverkusen that he wouldn't want to go to #AstonVilla, preferring Saudi Arabia.

🗣️ The 🇸🇦 club is now in talks with the 🇩🇪 team. 🐓⚽

Interesting that Sanson, who you'd have down as a banker to leave, is in the US squad, yet Traore, who is probably less of a banker to be shifted, is not.

Maybe the Saudis have made an offer for Traore. Oh no wait, that would help us and they can't have that.

Cross Barnes off the list now too by the look of things.

Not really sure why they've bought both Gordon and Barnes when they play in the same position, yet are so hamstrung by FFP they can't strengthen elsewhere.

Convenient that the night the Newcastle owners cough up £38m for Barnes they are lobbing more money at a rivals target. Even if he chooses Villa, they've pushed us way over the odds

Also convenient that they’re selling* St Maximan.

*swapping money between clubs.

They needed to sell before buying for FFP reasons.

They're not even getting good money for him.

Some slightly more reliable sources suggesting we’ve reached an agreement with his club and Diaby will come to us. Let’s hope there’s truth in it and more reputable journalists confirm it

He could make £40m over 5 years with us, while playing in the elite league, furthering his international opportunities and playing in Europe, potentially in the Champions League. If he chooses the Saudi’s over that, he’s a greedy fucker and deserves what he gets.

Enough to buy Barnes and stay within FFP.

Based on the more reputable sources, it seems we’ve agreed a fee so over to the player.
